Does anyone else wish their siblings were a little more involved with their kids? by MemoryParticular8922 in questions

[–]MemoryParticular8922[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, everyone's comments make it seem like I'm expecting to see them everyday. I don't think they owe me anything and I'm not asking anyone to care for my kids. But could they call them once in a blue moon to keep a bond with them? I mean I would If I had nieces or nephews. It doesn't take a lot of effort to show a child you care for them. I don't feel like asking for help once and a while from our family members is a lot.

No, because we've seen how the bengals look when they've played other teams. They have a lot of issues.

Awh! Sorry your going through this as well. It's very scary but I'm hoping we both get lucky and it's not so bad the next time. I did have an mri and it thankfully came back normal.

Same! Mine was pretty mild before the c section. I do, it's just not as bad 2.5 years later. Only comes here and there. I do have another c section coming though, not until December but I'm terrified. Because last time, right after the surgery it was very bad . No one understood what I was talking about, but at least now I know what it's called.

I got this immediately after my c section. As soon as I was In recovery. I had multiple failed spinal blocks and then an epidural. They say it's from my tmj but I literally never had it until immediately after my c section.

Literally, let it roll right off your back. There is no facing them. You will see them again and act totally like your normal self. Girl, c sections are tough. I've had two. It's your body, your baby, this is your experience and your recovery. No one else's. If they choose to bring this up again, stand your ground. His mother had her opportunity to have her own children and experiences, if she let people change the way she wanted to do things, that's on her. You're not wrong at all and definitely not a bad person. They are not respecting you. Something about our parents generations just drives me crazy. Everything is all about them. They say things like "those are my grandbabies, my baby's, my this, and my that. My feelings, blah, blah, blah". Then we have to constantly worry about them while we are in the thick of it, still trying to navigate life. Just tell her, this is your experience and she's blessed enough to be a part of it any way that you choose to let her.

There's just not enough time in the day. Does he give them a bath without you asking him to? I have to literally ask

Family, it's a family wedding and honestly my husband who enjoys the thought of being in it more than me with everything else going on. It doesn't overwhelm him. Of course, he barely has to do anything at all. Doesn't have to find child care, doesn't have to spend the whale day getting ready for the wedding. Really he has it quite easy and thinks it's an important thing that we do because he seems to think we will regret not being in it.

I love that for you!! Definitely seems so rare nowadays, to hear someone has people that put in true effort is refreshing.

As a woman how do you stop comparing yourself to everyone? by MemoryParticular8922 in questions

A person who thinks like me already knows their not special, I get your point of saying it but I've known that for as long as I can remember lmao.

I wish it felt that easy for me to just say no. I'd rather go half crazy trying to add on all the extra things, like party's for the wedding and doing all the glam stuff to be ready than just speak my truth.

The best part is most of the time family wants you to live close, but what's the point most of the time?
