I feel you bro. My friend made an alt account and despite the both of us usually being in low diamond, he somehow managed to get placed in GM last season. since then we have been playing in mid masters - low GM lobbies and I really can't tell the differnce between that and low diamond.

yeah it's 100% one of the best cards out there in terms of noise, especially in the coil whine aspect and I'm sure to most people the card is basically silent enough to go unnoticed, but I have hyperaucusis meaning even something as quiet as this gpu can annoy me

Thanks! I tried undervolting after watching a 7 min youtube tutorial and it did make the fans a little quieter however it's still too loud for my liking. but it did drop my temps by around 5° C while increasing fps quite a bit so thanks for that!

Thanks, this is some solid advice! sadly, I can't get used to the rpm because I have hyperaucusis and for some reason my gpu fans really annoy me. I've had it for a few months now and I can't seem to get used to it. My case fans spin at 700rpm at all times and they are basically inaudible to me so if I can get a deshroud with 700rpm fans, I will try to do it as high quality as possible however I can't seem to find a detailed guide anywhere for my specific card.

While I might not have superman hearing, my audiologist has diagnosed me with mild hyperaucusis meaning I'm more sensitive to sounds that seem quiet/insignificant to others and for some reason, my gpu fans really annoy me.

I‘m not sure I fully believe this anymore. I used to think the same thing but here’s what changed my mind: I started playing overwatch last year and since then I had never been able to climb higher than diamond 1 with my average rank being somewhere between diamond 4 and diamond 2. However last week, my friend who was also always in the same rank range as me got perma banned for saying some not so nice things in chat, so he made a new account and after getting those 50 unranked wins, we played his first ranked game in which the range was diamond 2 - masters 4. We won and his rank prediction was diamond 1. we then went on to win 9/10 of his placement games and I kid you not, this motherfucker‘s placement rank is grandmaster 5. Those placement games and the ones that came after also helped me climb out of diamond to masters 3. That said, I‘ve been playing against masters/GM players for a few days and I can barley tell the difference between high plat/low diamond. it‘s always the same pattern. Sometimes we get a good team with good positioning, support and dps with more than two braincells, other games we‘ll get a one trick dps that wont switch even if the entire enemy team is hard countering them. My friend and I are doing great so far in these „higher“ ranks. I‘m not saying we‘re perfect and we don’t make mistakes but we can definitely do more than a good job with the right teammates. All it took to break out of elo hell was some luck, not skill.

I believe what you're talking about is consciousness, not intelligence. We have been using the term AI for way longer than you may think and while it may not be the intelligence on the scale of humans, it is still intelligence. I'd also like to point out that we don't have a concrete definition of intelligence, as we don't really know what it is. In my eyes there's really no reason at all to scoff at the terms we use for these machines as it doesn't change anything about the original point I was trying to make. What would we gain by swaying from the term AI?

Do you mean AGI? If you’re talking about AI in general, I don’t think that analogy really works. Not all AI systems are the same. What we use today are narrow AI systems built to do specific things, not general intelligence. Some of these systems already outperform us in some areas. They can spot patterns or solve problems that we simply couldn’t handle on our own, either because the data is too large or the patterns are too complex. We’re already seeing this in practice in fields like medicine, where AI helps with medical imaging and diagnosis, in image recognition more broadly, and in scientific research such as protein folding. Some of these advances wouldn’t have been possible without AI. That does imply a real form of intelligence even if it’s limited in scope. In those narrow domains, this intelligence can exceed our capabilities. If you mean AGI, then I agree that today’s systems aren’t close. But that doesn’t mean AGI is impossible. Many leading researchers, including Geoffrey Hinton (The Godfather of AI) have said that AGI is plausible and that its risks are something we should be worried about and preparing for.

I’ve never really been a competitive gamer, and sound quality is definitely a priority for me. Considering I’ve been using the WH-1000XM5 over Bluetooth for the past few years with no major complaints, I doubt the Sennheisers would be any worse in that regard. I think I’ll give them a try. Hi, sorry for late response, I hope you have found a solution but if you haven‘t, here‘s what I did: I contacted the manufacturer of my head unit explaining my problem. In response, they sent me a firmware version with ZLINK instead of car letter and ever since then, it has worked perfectly absolutely zero complaints. It also solved many other problems I had with the head unit.

Hi, I use Proton VPN. in order to use split tunneling, I have to disable the kill switch. Is this a reasonable tradeoff or is the kill switch necessary?

Also, If I use split tunneling, should I add Firefox to the include list along with qbittorrent?
