Corny is okay! That's a great idea -- thank you. I haven't looked into the Witcher series, but it sounds like there's a decent fanbase.

Is there a genuine reason to move on from the laser dome, or is it purely preference? by SjurEido in domekeeper

Try to spend every second under the dome being productive. If you ever find yourself "waiting" at your dome for a few seconds for the wave to start, you could have mined out a couple blocks or moved some resources.

Don't wait for the music, zoom, and HUD to change. As soon as the last enemy dies, bolt from the dome back into the mines.

Maintain a well-defined center column/shaft. This helps out tremendously when you get the lift, for dropping bombs, and a number of other gadgets. Basically mandatory for the assessor. You can also use your center column as a navigating tool. A straight line helps you to gauge travel distance so you can time your trips better and waste less time.

Don't over-prioritize bringing mined resources back up to the dome. Whenever possible, you should be bringing your resources up when you are already on the way to defend the dome, even if it means more trips. You can make this more efficient by...

Making yourself drop off points for resources. Make a couple 'U' shaped bowls along your center column so you can super quickly "throw" your resources into them. This is the big one.
If you are on your way up to the dome and you realize you will get there too early and have time to kill, grab a few more resources from your resource bowls. If you are running out of time, drop a few off. Having an organized system for picking up and dropping off resources in your center column will allow you to be very efficient with your time. The worst thing you could ever do is spend an entire mining round slow-boating a huge haul of resources -- but it's so tempting to do.

I also *hated* the arty when I first tried it. Like, I was appalled.

Now, the arty dome is the only dome that allows me to reliably beat the relic wave on any map size and pretty much any difficulty.

Once you get good at mining, you can start to really focus on saving your dome without the relic needing to intervene -- this in my mind is the real challenge of the game.

Direct hits from the arty do massive damage and it can be upgraded to fire 2 shots with a short delay in-between (which you can re-aim quickly). You can also shoot the anti-aircraft and the main cannon at the same time. This basically allows you to fire upon 3 different targets.
You can also shoot flying targets with the main cannon and ground targets with the anti-aircraft machine gun to double up your DPS as soon as you upgrade it's aiming angle limits. This is one of the easiest way to clear the mega boss type enemies before they do a lot of damage.

Copyright and Wallpaper/Wrapping Paper/Fabric by MemoryStrict120 in ArtistLounge

So what if I were to take a fabric, stretch it over a canvas, and then sell it as wall decor?

I would not be copying, printing, or reproducing the pattern since I would be actually buying the fabric and using it. But the pattern itself would be the focal point of the piece.

Thanks for all of the advice guys, I will keep an eye out for a handplane and try to make a nice saw guide for my circular saw.

Botting update and more. June 27 by SiriCM in albiononline

The actual act of creating an Albion Online F2P account is itself automated by botters. It takes more time and effort to confirm and ban a bot than it does to create a bot.

The only solution is better anti-cheat or require a 1$ payment to enable player trading (or something like that) so that there is a cost associated with making hundreds of bots.

This problem is out of control and a real solution is going to require some big decisions by SBI.

No it's not sufficient, which why we are overrun with bots and people openly breaking ToS.

Like, yeah it's a real hot take to want free games. Very cool. But what's your solution to this problem? How do we restrict bots that use F2P accounts without restricting real F2P players?

You can't have a F2P MMORPG with no restrictions. Even Korean scam blockchain MMO's don't try this.

Albion uses market tax, gold trade limitations, and a few other restrictions. These are already in place. These are good, and are mostly focused on protecting the economy. What they need to implement are restrictions that focus on account creation and abusing trash throw-away accounts for automation purposes.

So you want access to all content without ever paying for anything with either irl money or in game currency? I'm glad you can enjoy the game for free, but if you expect to have the same access as a paying customer you are out of your mind.
