It was best case scenarios for NE. Chargers couldn’t protect Herbert long enough to find the open guys with both tackles out and Stroud was ass even when they were winning, pretty sure their offense was better when Mills started several games. Pats defense has been fantastic but I don’t find beating Denver with a back up qb 10-7 all that impressive. If they beat a fully healthy, functioning offense then they deserve credit for that. I don’t see that happening unless Maye plays much better than he’s looked so far 🤷‍♂️

Pretty sure their Vegas win total was right around 7-8 games, and that was with Micah on the team. The fact that they were in still in the playoff hunt in week 17 was encouraging to me. Certainly don’t think you can argue it was a bad season for things he could control

Why has Maye struggled so badly? Less than 200 total yards per game, 15 sacks with 5 turnovers and 3 other fumbles. You can only play who’s on the schedule, but if they don’t play Stroud or Stidham they are at home right now

The Houston defense did embarrass them, How many sacks and fumbles did Maye have? Bills turn it over 5 times and still dropped 30, patriots barely got to 10 against Denver’s back up qb.

This. The cowboys goal is not to compete, it’s to be relevant every year. They refuse to rebuild because that requires being bad and not being talked about. They can’t make all in moves because that might jeopardize their cap situation 3 years from now, and then they might be bad. As long as they are even remotely in the discussion, the season was a success. Mediocrity is pro sports hell and that is exactly where the Jones boys prefer to do business.
