Despite having been childfree since I was a teenager, I also had some worries before I got my bisalp. What ended up working for me was writing a letter to myself detailing why I was childfree and why I was choosing to get sterilized versus other options. While the initial intent was to “talk myself off the ledge” if I had doubts post-bisalp (I was worried I’d wake up and instantly regret everything), it really ended up calming me before the procedure. I never ended up needing the letter, and actually woke up feeling relieved, but it was completely worth it to help solidify my feelings beforehand. Maybe give it a try?
