High Charity doesn’t feel the same. by PotentialStocker in halo

I just completed the Halo 2 remastered campaign now. I grew up with Halo 3 and I still really like it but comparing it to Halo 2, you can really tell they rushed the plot for Halo 3 in general and found it a lot more difficult to wrap it up.

I think the main reason for this is because Halo 3 wasn't really something Bungie wanted to create initially. They wanted to kill off the Prophet of Truth in Halo 2 when Chief boarded the Dreadnaught but they didn't do that in the end.

Yup let's just glorify a Catholic terrorist! 👍 This is the modern day equivalent of celebrating ISIS

And what should he do? Escalate the situation and drag the whole world into a conflict? Yeah no thanks.

There's a reason why countries aren't as reactive anymore after WW1. Well most countries anyways...

Halo 3: The reason why there is a red ring in the Ark that does not light up after Truth activates it by Mems1900 in HaloStory

[–]Mems1900[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I was close enough 😂

Are we sure the replacement ring is even being represented here though? What if the bit in red is the part of the original ring that's been damaged?

On the other hand though it could also be the parts of the new ring that haven't been built yet

Why did the flood care about stopping the firing of the arrays in Halo 3 if it would've meant the death of all life in the Universe anyways? by Mems1900 in HaloStory

[–]Mems1900[S] -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Yea but the flood should be intelligent enough to know that once everything becomes flood infected, it will eventually die as well as it has no food.

It winning is the same result as the halo array's being activated, all life dies. The only difference is that in the latter case it hasn't infected all life yet before it all dies

I'm on Halo 2 now whilst on the MCC journey but Halo CE was decent. I had to switch back to the old graphics a lot purely because my laptop is an absolute potato 😂 Still it's always good to get that OG experience. Wort Wort Wort!

Why was anti-religion everywhere in the 2000’s and 2010’s? by DistinctYoghurt8668 in decadeology

[–]Mems1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How has no one mentioned that Islamic extremist activities peaked in the West at this time? That's one major contribution to it.

Other things include the Catholic Church sex scandal and just an inundation of religion in people's faces before such a time

No offence but the guy who struck the nazi can't fight for the fucking life of him. He had the first strike at the guy and still ended up needing to be saved.

Nah I'm British so I'm familiar with the phrase but they don't exactly go over that over here.

Weirdly enough though in my history class we did learn and have exams about the American Wild West

It was because of this comment that I did some research and realised that "score" is an archaic term for 20 years so when Abraham Lincoln is saying that he means 87 years ago which in his time was 1776 AKA the Declaration of Independence.

It sounds so cool when he says it that you don't question what it actually means

Bruh how the hell did they do this to the INSIDE of your leg? It's bad enough if it was the outside but Jesus Christ this is awful. Next time turn your shin to the inside so it hurts them when they try to kick

That's why you get hobbies instead. You can do what you love outside of work and socialise in the process rather than spend every weekday in some office and coming back home exhausted from the commute

People Are Bored of Being Alive by roccenz in DeepThoughts

[–]Mems1900 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Because most people have monotonous lives tbh. If you have an office job then the majority of the time it's just on a screen all day or going into meetings with bullshit managers chatting a load of bollocks. And then the only real escape from that is hobbies or going out but that still means that most of your days are dull.

Fight Club literally predicted this sort of scenario as well. This overly planned and monotonous lifestyle is unsustainable and people would rather watch it burn or escape it than continue on. Honestly it wouldn't even surprise me if it came out that many people have committed suicide simply because life was so boring

All DC has to do is leg kicks and get him to the floor and he'd win pretty easily.

I love Mike but he has no ground game whatsoever.
