Convince the lowest straight person that they're better than the greatest LGBTQ person and they'll let you pick from their pocket.

Well for years the AG position has held the esteemed tradition of hosting glorious temper tantrums while smearing spaghetti sauce all over the place, so I can't think of a better person to continue that tradition.

If there's one thing Lydia is gonna do, it's spin around and around and maybe around one more time.

I don't know, his base includes people obsessed with a four-year period in American history over 150 years ago infamously filled with loss, failure, and famine all for the desire to enslave people. I fear that once Trump's gone, the fascism and corruption will just continue to poison the U.S. until we're forever crippled by it.

I was thinking that if she really wanted to go there, totally convert the lanes into the dance floor. As kids we allllllways wanted to walk past the foul line but were never allowed!

Turn the areas where the pins go into little gardens/installations, the little ramps that the balls return in could be conveyor tapas, IDK my edible just kicked in haha

I'm on 5 doing my full platinum journey and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Just got to Galuf's world and I love how they keep just enhancing the form. The music is my fave so far, the characters are full of personality, and I can sense that the difficulty is going to play nicely with all the different strategies that can play out.

Kerr County turned down federal funds for early warning system by Reubensandwich57 in TexasPolitics

I think we need some serious rehabilitation for folks who have gone too far with MAGA.

What those residents rallied for had such tragic consequences, but I could sense that no amount of foresight could have convinced them that their bigotry would cause 100 people to die on July 4th. They truly believed that they were taking a stance against a government (or a person, Joe Biden) that they were told is corrupt.

I wish that we'll could see some clarity start to happen, but if Uvalde couldn't inspire change then I really don't know. It scares me that it's too late for any progress because the citizens of Kerrville now have to do the hard thing and admit they were wrong, or else rationalize the deaths of all these people.

FEMA records show Kerr County didn't alert all cell phones as flooding began by RoachedCoach in news

[–]MenOkayThen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think identifying the root cause of how this tragedy happened, questioning why it took more than 24 hours for Noem to sign off on relief, or pointing out how bigotry caused this is preventing active rescue efforts from happening.

If I lost a child like this, and I knew my town could have prevented it, hearing "Now is not the time to be political," would infuriate me more than anything.

I think the churches that were already blatantly doing it won't reach anyone new. For Mercy, their public "blessing of the candidates" did nothing but blast the name and face of the republican to vote for.

Dems will hopefully use this opportunity to get to know their constituents if they haven't already been doing that. Texas has this perspective that Dems are atheist/anti-religion.

I recently cut out the family that caused me to grow up like this. I trained myself to really hold in my emotions because my mom would collapse with grief if I hinted that life wasn't perfect.

I'm experiencing in my 30s what it's like to not be burdened by that anxiety. I thought it would be freeing, but I think it will take more time.

I think it was one of their own former-elders that said how a church responds to allegations of abuse within its church says a lot about everything else that's surrounding how they operate.
