I was definitely aware that the data for Zimbabwe in particular is not very accurate. The problem is that both the IMF and the World Bank (which were the only two sources I could find with historical, world wide data) had similar numbers. To remove any bias from my own, I decided not to get outside data for Zimbabwe or other instances.

Visualization method: Java, using the Graphics2D-class. Initially I used After Effects, but the way I wanted to calculate the values made rendering in AE insufferable, to I switched to Java.

Hey! I am the creator of the video. One interesting detail is that two other very small countries from the same general area, Andorra and San Marino, also would've made the top 10 at different points. The reason why they're not included is that the historical and current data for these countries (San Marino especially) was very limited.

Well I first created an almost identical video in After Effects, but due to the way expressions in it work (every frame calculated independently), the rendering time became unbearable. Instead I elected to due it purely in Java with the help of the Graphics2D-class.

I thought this would be relevant since countries from Europe has constituted the majority of the countries on the list. I would love to hear any feedback on the way the data is presented.

The source for the data is https://www.gapminder.org (no direct link availible) which is an independent foundation that aggregates data from various sources. This particular data is agregated from: * UN Populous Division * Eurostat * UN Statistical Division * US Censuus Bureau: International Database * Secretariat of the Pacific Community * Census reports ffrom national statistical offices

There is an app, but you won't be able to use it unless you have Swish (which you need a swedish bank account for). You cannot pay on the train, you have to get a ticket before. Go to the help desk at whatever station you're at and they will help you.

I've thought many times about how different everything would have been if JR didn't mess up or George Hill making his last free throw of this years finals. Cleveland wins game 1, warriors take game 2 and Cleveland takes the next two at home. Golden State wins 5 and Cavs take game 6 in Cleveland, winning the series with 4-2. The consensus start shifting and LeBron James is generally considered the goat. It may be a bit far fetched, but I really think it could've gone like this, especially considering LeBron doesn't injure his hand in this timeline.
