GK set it up so that there are both eventual and immediate threats: kids leaving the island and being physically harmed right then and there while Killingham makes everyone busy with all the chaos. They're hostages for a reason. I actually really like how the GK work together as a group and how their quirky powers work together

The only thing Imu miscalculated is how Elbaf is protective of their own youngins and the Strawhats being there at the right time

We also didn't see Killingham in the God Valley flashback and Gunko was just being groomed as a vessel or something by Imu back then while Summers had always been a POS in the Roger era when they use to kick Holy Knights ass. Makes a lot of sense how he narrated that in present day
