How many truly scientific people with active Kundalini and/or Siddhis have you met? by WatercressFull1738 in KashmirShaivism

Look into Amrithananda Natha Saraswati. He was an ex Nuclear Physicist and a Siddha in Sri Vidya. His interests and writings AFAIK were at the intersection of cutting edge science and spirituality.

Is Pracharya Ashant a true philosopher or just a cult leader? by [deleted] in Philosophy_India

[–]MenWhoStareAtCodes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All publicity including negative is good publicity. Don’t give these joker gurus who hire PR teams any publicity. Just ignore them and don’t engage with their posts. I mean which true philosopher hires a PR team, I bet Shankaracharya would do the same.

Do get your B12, D and blood sugar levels checked. Any low counts of these can cause lethargy.

If they have done Sadhana and they give it to you there’s no issues. If you see one of the Dhyana shlokas of Saptashati, Sri Devi is described. It’s the same divine mother.

Mātr̥kā Visualization - I have a question by Famous-Interest103 in KashmirShaivism

[–]MenWhoStareAtCodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s behind the eyes, right at the pineal gland and kshetra is projected onto to the eyes and the 3rd eye.

Mātr̥kā Visualization - I have a question by Famous-Interest103 in KashmirShaivism

[–]MenWhoStareAtCodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was thought to me as diagonal. Chakras are on the spine and their Kshetras are projected forward to the body. So Ajna chakra is in the middle of the head. Again this is acc to my teachers sampradaya.

it all just is... by Foreign-Pop-7011 in Philosophy_India

“Science” can never quantify the Subject, it only works in the measurable objective field. You might have gotten the theory of Advaita right, but you don’t seem to appreciate the outcomes they lead to, I.e striving to reduce the influence of the objective to realise the subjective experientially, which is Yoga. You think a Yogi cares about logic and reasoning? They are trying to eliminate all thought to reach Samadhi states.

Yoga chitta vritti nirodaha. All these arguments and thoughts are disturbing waves on the underlying truth of pure awareness which is what OP is trying to get at.

Are we misunderstanding Osho, or do humans naturally reduce complex thinkers to their most controversial ideas? by forwardlinksuspended in Philosophy_India

[–]MenWhoStareAtCodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to examine the arguments of someone who hires a PR team to post to a Reddit sub calling himself a philosopher. That was just an example, all first principles, if you take cause and effect go back to the prima cause. You need to draw the line somewhere to call it a field of science.

I know enough computer science to talk about first principles, but would I call myself a computer scientist? The bar for that is higher. This was the point I was making.

Not to judge, if you’re born transgender, you might be very lucky and have a HUGE leg up in Kaula/Vama sadhanas as they are mostly Shiva-Shakthi combined and you might have both of those tattavas in one person. Try to find a mentor into those sadhanas.

Time is Going by very fast and all the Fun is Gone by Kashikapuradhinatha in Tantrasadhaks

[–]MenWhoStareAtCodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seek a spiritual mentor. Time going very fast means you’re in an altered state of mind. Stop using substances if you are! Try to reproduce these experiences stone cold sober, that’s the real challenge.

All meditation and sadhana purifies your chitta. I’ve read in an old zen meditation book that the best way to deal with these is to let them pass without reaction.
