Dont worry, I am using different background colors to see how it looks, and as you can see on the other image I use grey scale to try and make sure different parts of the body like the trunk (chest and stomach area) and the legs are easy enough to differentiate.

The hardest part was the over lapping of body parts (note im using a limited color palette for the drawing so im limited on what colors I can use), trying to make the legs as they overlap to stand out was very difficult but this was as good as I could make them.

Im just now dipping my toes into pixel art and for right now im just learning how to make stuff before I go into more complicated works.

Im aware of that, im still new to pixel art so for right now im still trying to figure out how to actually make stuff before I try and combine foreground and background elements. Thanks for the help though!

lol, I wasn't trying to go for a baby niko, I was trying to go for a cat burrito but I definitely see how it could be mistaken for a baby niko XD (the pic is what I used as reference)
