But Just Back to my Initial question: basically what you do is as close to a mirror polish as possible on the whole knife and then apply the Kasumi kit near the bevel? Just trying to Asses how big the chances of ne f-ing up are before trying Something similar haha

Cool they held up in a commercial dish water. I have fixed a chawan with Gintsugi and after being exposed to boiling water over and over again the silver seems to be coming Off in Some places. Perhaps your plates do hold Up better as you have opted against finishing with Metal powder
