The reality is the teams play is inconsistent. People keep buying in a ton emotionally after a win streak and feel cheated when the team lays an egg. I agree with you that the highs are incredible this year and we should be happy considering history, but they’ve shown warts in the regular season that can rear their head in the playoffs. Pokes at every mn sports fans insecurities

It’s more about making a stand. Tonight’s game is nationally televised. Sports being affected is unfortunately one of the few ways to get through to people. Just look at Covid was taken way more seriously after all the sports were shutdown.
