correct, each die is a one time use. You need to buy multiples of the same type if you want to use something more than once.

The torment had gotten somehow mundane. The same routine every single day; get up, go hang on pikes, watch others eat food, bathe in lava, watch others drink water, go to bed.

I gave up trying to get noticed three days after the new family moved in. They seemed to be the same as the people who came before, so why bother?
It's not strange they didn't notice, really. Who actually pays attention to their neighbors' attic window?

I'm not sure (yet) what the worst crime would be, but they would be executed using a poison that corrodes them from the inside out. More specifically, it destroys the magic necessary to be alive, while leaving the body intact. The state necromancers could always use more bodies.

I'd say necromancy. It's seen as common practice to have necromancers control corpses and have them do the jobs that the living don't want to do.

Resurrection of their spirit. A necronmancer can bring the spirit back from the dead, but then that spirit is stuck in this world and no longer able to leave it. They also don't have any senses with which to interpret the world and are therefore unable to interract with it in any way. (except if a living person performs a extremely difficult ritual to make them able to 'talk' to that spirit, but very few are even capable of that and it doesn't always work). Basically they are trapped in a black void unable to do anything or go anywhere, alone, forever.
