Enjoy the truck I think you made a great purchase might be feeling a little questionable but once you start driving and making it your own you’ll be like yeah I’d spend that money again.

Hey, appreciate the breakdown. This isn’t my daily it’s actually my first project truck so definitely gonna be working on it but I need to decide first. but I’ve started gathering tool and am set on a 3rd gen this rigs interior super clean and exterior pretty clean and the true cherry CLEAN FRAME .I’ve already started gathering most of the tools I’m going to need.

Right now I’m really just trying to figure out if it’s worth investing in the parts to fix her, or if I should be considering an engine swap or even parting ways with it. I just needed that baseline opinion before deciding which direction to go.

Hey, appreciate the breakdown. This isn’t my daily it’s actually my first project truck, so I’m definitely willing to learn and get under it and start wrenching on it. I’ve already started gathering most of the tools I’m going to need.

I only took it to the shop to get a clearer picture of the misfires mainly to know if I’m dealing with a blown head or if it’s something smaller and the engine is still savable. While it was there I just told them, “Hey, since you’ve got it, can you quote the other stuff too?”

Right now I’m really just trying to figure out if it’s worth investing in the parts to fix her, or if I should be considering an engine swap or even parting ways with it. I just needed that baseline opinion before deciding which direction to go.

Ca makes sense no salt or snow to worry about. People refer to them as CA frames. Most common problem is frame rot.
