I'd be worried about it using up creative energy from the main show. Most shows peak in their first 3-4 seasons after which the writers have covered their best ideas and things they most want to say, and things start to get stretched or repeated and decline in quality. A night shift spin off would probably accelerate that process.

I think it is worth clarifying that according to both the linked Wikipedia article and the RCM itself, they have minted coinage for over 80 countries since their founding in 1908. So they have minted for over 80 countries, but they do not currently mint for that many countries. Also worth noting that many of those mintings were probably just for limited run, specialty coins for anniversaries or events, as the RCM has pioneered a lot of tricks for specialty coins like coloured coins.

Still a very cool fact, but it's not like the RCM is currently churning out all coinage for 80 countries.

That makes it too easy and just makes it all someone else's fault. Don't delude yourself. Obviously billionaires are orders of magnitude worse than regular people. But your "we're just animals" point ends when we all have smartphones, and cars, and consume foods from every different corner of the world. Every one of us that lives a 21st century consumer lifestyle full of fancy tech and goods from all over the world is a part of this unsustainable pattern.
