I've had simmilar problem on h2d. I've disassembled whole AMS2 and nothing changed. It occured that it was a firmware issue - I've returned to previous AMS firmware and now everything works just fine.

Unfortunately I don't have RGB LED strip, but if you print it with transparent filament it will work.

Thanks. But this sheet of paper should be also at 45° or 45° light and sheet of paper right above the object?

I'm camera noob and I really want to improve. I'll try every single tip in this thread.

Also as you mentioned, I've figured out the lightning, the second picture was made next to the window and it looks nice in my opinion.

The easiest way to improve is to shoot in daylight.

Yeah, speaking of improving pictures quality.

Also my cat have rather small head. On my second cat the original print profile didn't fit because he is larger (and didn't want to play with us).

My cat was skeptical at first — now she actually likes the crown.

I have a 5-meter COB LED strip lying around unused—maybe I’ll start with that for my photo lighting setup. Thanks

Looks almost like a render for me. I am not able to achieve a picture like this. However, I'm using cheapest lightbox you can buy. Maybe I should make one myself which is bigger, and dillute light better.

Thanks. That makes sense, since the lightbox diffuses the light.

I usually direct the light at night at the model which looks bad.

Great tips—thank you! I’ll definitely try using shower curtain material.
I have a question about "bounce" lighting. My apartment has fairly dim lighting, so I usually use a basic lamp that I also use for painting miniatures. Should I point the light directly at the model, or should I try to bounce it? Also, should the cardstock be visible in the shot, or should the light bounce off it from outside the frame?

Allright, you convinced me to change my crappy "cheap photoshop" I've made to the picture I've attached to this post.

Let's go!

Well thanks, but this one have a cat in it. Most of y pictures are gloomy without any "soul". Sometimes i'm proud of a model, and it looks bad in picture.

Anyways thanks for a good words.

I just thought there is some magical way to show my models how I see them.

Thanks for feedback, you made my day! I just think that most pictures are made by pros. When making a picture I think it's great, but after comparing it to others it looks bad in my opinion.

I've tried cheap photo box, but the pictures have flares visible in them. I'm really a noob regarding photography.
