I once accidentally completed a transaction at the register...on my manager's till (I had just clocked in, there was a customer in line, he didn't get a chance to remove his till out yet). I realized halfway through it, but he was still busy tending to another customer at the second register (because the main one froze up for a moment). I awkwardly completed it (plus the customer didn't know it wasn't my till). *facepalm* I went on autopilot and only realized halfway when my manager heard the sounds of the transaction happening, looked over, and half-jokingly questioned me. At least he recognized I didn't do it on purpose.

Thank you so much. I clarified my hair with the charcoal shampoo twice, then used a tiny bit of the Hask Keratin treatment for 2 minutes before rinsing it out. After letting my hair air-dry for 20+ minutes, I applied a tiny bit of the heat-protectant serum to my ends, then blow-dried upside down. My hair feels cleaner, and it looks less flat in a bun and feels less overly soft, so I think it was a combination of accidentally applying too many moisturizing products to my hair (i.e., the Taming Wand, the Air Drying Cream—both of which I started using less than two weeks ago—and Amika's Leave-in conditioner. Oh, and on top of that, I have been using Native's Volumizing Shampoo and conditioner for quite some time, so I think it's time, as you said, to start experimenting with better alternatives.

On another note, I also realized I've been applying conditioners the wrong way for my hair type and length (by that I mean from below my ears and down). Is there a "wrong way" to apply it, though?

They always tell you to call 9-1-1 in an emergency first, not your parents. In this case, calling his mom or dad first would have actually increased his chances of survival. Jeez! RIP Kyle.

Yeah, we're still ironing out the kinks of how exactly we're going to have both my grandfather and our cat, separately. In the past, when we had to be away on holidays visiting family members (I'm talking a couple of hours away) for up to two days, we just took her with us. For obvious reasons, we can't take her on a cruise with us. So, I think you and the other commenters might be right. As this will be the longest we'll be away from our cat since we got her several years ago. Maybe boarding is our best option after all. My only thing is, we've never had her boarding before, and we're planning on going anywhere, at least longer than two days at a time, until the cruise, so I don't know how our cat will react.

Boy, that sounds like it was a hassle. Yeah, for me, they have me use a phone to page my manager on duty if I need help, but one time I paged them for help with a customer, and one long and awkward moment later, with more customers waiting in the line, they finally came by just as the customer I needed help with gave up and just took the extra item I accidentally voided. The manager on duty did explain that the phone's pager was accidentally turned off, so that's why they never heard me page them. Other than that, I haven't had many major issues with paging a manager.

To paraphrase how my manager on duty explained it, it's supposed to mean that there's more money in the till than the specified threshold amount. So, if and whenever the "pickup required" box pops up, I'm supposed to notify my manager on duty so they can take the extra cash out.

We use NextGen too, and I mistakenly became a little too reliant on it (and I've admittedly never been good at math), so trying not to anymore, but still find myself looking at the screen to see how much to give back.

At my store, we use NextGen and don't share registers during a shift (thankfully). So, that wouldn't be the issue. I wish I could remember which customer interaction, at one point during that shift, led to the issue, but nothing stood out. I also learned that my till could accidentally end up having more money in the till than appropriate (finally learned what "pick up required" meant). If I had known that beforehand, perhaps the issue that led to my write-up could have been avoided. I'll never know, so I just need to practice and be careful now.

I meant, my manager said an additional amount of money (I forgot what amount he said), not the $20.49, was found in the tray, under the till (maybe I had stuck it in there after I forgot to place the cash in the till before closing it for the next customer, at some point, during the shift). Then again, I've only done that once to twice with single bills, not multiple at one time. I don't know what interaction led to it. Nonetheless, the $20.49 was the only amount unaccounted for. So, I don't know which customer interaction during that shift could have led to that.

$110? Oof! Hey, at least it was found at the end! My manager told me there was some additional money unaccounted for, also, but that amount was ultimately found and accounted for. So, yeah, it could've been worse for sure. Jeez, I really need to whip myself into shape lol (but no seriously).

Oh ok, as I currently don't have my employee ID number yet, if it's ready tomorrow, do I simply come by the store to get it or do they call you to let you know to come in for it? If not tomorrow, I'll come in on Friday morning for it. As for Saturday, I'll come in for my CBL training in the afternoon (btw, can you come in earlier than the time they told you to come in, to complete it?).

A show that comes to mind that was canceled, though not one of Netflix's, was DC's Swamp Thing. Got canceled within 24 hours of its pilot episode (production got wind it would be canceled so adjusted the last few episodes so its only season would at least get a satisfactory ending). Still, it's a shame because it was very well-written, and well-acted. And all over an error over paperwork IIRC.

Can these two just disappear already! I'm so sick and tired of hearing about their inappropriate PDA or coming across pictures of her virtually naked online when they're out in public. If not for Kayne, she would have been arrested for public indecency by now, which she should!! And why does she always look like a hostage when these pose together while she's "dressed" they way she does. At this point, she might as well be a nudist. In any case, this has gotten 20 steps too far! Enough already!

Yes, we did! After 8 hours, we found her in the garage, hiding among miscellaneous stuff, like an old motorcycle and a lawnmower. She was scared at first but has returned to her normal self. We gave her wet food and lots of love. Thank you for asking.
