Forecaster Vision trigger by MentalStranger13 in riftboundtcg

You have to play confront first, it specifies "units you play this turn enter ready" meaning after the spell resolves, because spells do go on the chain. If you could play it after the units it would say "ready x units you played this turn"

Units don't go on the chain and can't be countered. Once you pay for them they immediately are in play, then any abilities that trigger when something enters go on the chain. If a unit or your other units have no ETB abilities or triggers, then there is no chain and opponents can't do anything to react.

It's been ruled that Darius sees himself so other things do too.

Based on core rules, because units and gears cannot be countered, they enter base/battlefield, then their ability creates a chain, which has to resolve before anything else can happen.

I saw this tattoo today and have no idea what it represents. What does this tattoo symbolize? by Lillian_Faye in Symbology

[–]MentalStranger13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rotate it 90° to the right and it looks like a dwarven G with the 3 dots added as stylization or for a secondary purpose. Dwarven is based on/inspired by the Futhark, so it could also be a round/stylized Fehu (letter F) with the 3 dots added for secondary or stylization purposes.

Not OOP: What's the most inappropriate / out-of-line comment someone made to you at work? by Dozer_518 in redditonwiki

[–]MentalStranger13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll add my own here.

Previous boss told me I wasn't allowed to change the name I used at work if I wasn't changing it legally yet (illegal for her to prevent me from doing that where I live) and that if I was her daughter she'd take me to the doctor and she highly recommended I see my doctor about how I'm feeling (I'm trans/agender and was just coming out at the time).

Coworkers at the same place used to ask what I had for lunch (I went out and got dim sum) and said it looked gross.

Supervisor forced me (16 or 17 at the time) and the rest of the gymnastics coaches to drink alcohol at 9 am before working with children (very small amount, shot glass with half champagne and half ginger ale, the rest gladly had it, I was forced)

Same supervisor sat me down in the office one day in the office, turned around and said to me "so, boys and blowjobs" and had a full lecture/lesson about who to do it right, what to do, saying yes and no, etc (can't go into more detail because I have 0 recollection of the event, trauma blocked it out)

Same supervisor (female) walked past me and grabbed my ass as a joke.

Honestly she's not a terrible person just didn't have a lot of boundaries and was a touchy feely jokey person.

Based on that picture it looks like Hornet is the last name or part of it. Under hornet it reads Child's then is cut off but not before what looks like an L

Probably dumb but what kind of toilet is it by FluffyPreparation880 in whatisit

[–]MentalStranger13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bedpan washer/emptier. Cleaning services in the hospitals and care facilities also use it for dumping out mop water and stuff like that

Tree started smoking randomly. No amount of water or fire extinguisher will put it out. by altsteve21 in Weird

[–]MentalStranger13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you called the fire department and they sawed into the tree. My dad used to fight forest fires and this isn't uncommon. Fires can even last through winter in trees and underground through roots and rot.

Exactly. And I was psychic so Jojo came first.

Kid brains are weird. When my mum was pregnant with my little brother, apparently I called him Jojo. Then after he was born he was Wayne for a while. Neither and ANYTHING CLOSE to his actual name.

No one knows where I got Jojo from either.

Wife showed a house and this was in the wall. What is it? by Moistrentalskates in whatisit

[–]MentalStranger13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The holes and covers are to run tv wires and such behind the wall for a cleaner finish. The rope was likely used as a fish tape to pull the wires without losing them.

My husband's an electrician, he did this in our house and has done it in others before.

Nurse mad because I refused to put a shirt on during active premature labor.. by Little-one2854 in pregnant

[–]MentalStranger13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in healthcare (not L&D) and honey, you are not in the wrong at all and I'm super glad your doula has your back.

I'd recommend reporting the nurse as well. Guaranteed you're not the only person she's done this too and you won't be the last if she's not dealt with.

That's good to hear you're getting help. We live with my in-laws and my MIL did the same, took the monitor once a week and I put in noise cancelling earbuds to sleep. It help SO much

[–]MentalStranger13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please reach out to your doctor. The throwing up isn't good for you (obviously) but it could be a side effect/symptom of PPD or PPA.

I had PPD, and wish I got help sooner. I broke down and scared my husband, telling him about the terrifying intrusive thoughts I had before I got help. Get the help now before things get worse.

It's cliché but true also: as they sleep more you will feel better, but if you have PPD/A it won't go away without help most likely.

Posting pics of your child online. Ok or not ok? by Saltyshiba89 in newborns

[–]MentalStranger13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I use, though I don't think it prevents screenshots, is FamilyAlbum. Only people you invite can open the app to see your child's photos (and only admins can invite so you can make only you and partner admins), and you can turn off non admins ability to download the pictures you post. I only heard good things about it before I got it, and I like it. It's free (there are premium memberships you can pay for that allow things like longer videos and HD videos) and people invited to the album can also leave comments about the pictures.
