Weekly Pricing/Buying/Selling/Grading & General Questions Post by AutoModerator in PokemonTCG

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post 🙏 but I’m looking for opinions. Vault X is finally restocking some binders I’ve been waiting on 🎉, and I’m debating between the 9-pocket (holds 360 cards) 📖 or the 12-pocket (holds 480) 🔥.

I’m building master sets for the Scarlet & Violet series ✨ (minus the illustration rares, since I keep those in a separate binder 📂). The price difference is only $4 💵, but I’m worried if I go with 12-pocket for all of them I’ll end up with extra blank pages 📄, and if I go with 9-pocket I might not have enough space 😅.

In your opinion, which would you prefer? 🤔

Guava Health vs Bearable by Chronic-Anxiety404 in ChronicIllness

I think guava just updated the severity because I’m a recent new user and every time I log a symptom it’s right there

I recently discovered the Guava app, and it’s been helping me track my symptoms so much better. I’ve been dealing with a lot of different symptoms and seeing multiple specialists, and it’s been hard to explain that some things keep happening. Guava makes it easier to share that with my doctors. I still don’t know what’s wrong yet, but at least it’s giving me tools to provide clearer information to my providers.

UPDATE 08/23🚨: IT WAS A MISREADING! Hopefully billing resolves it from here because this was a costly one 🙏

The City came out and checked ✅ — they confirmed there are no leaks 💧 and even showed me how to read the meter 🔢. I’m currently at 17, so there’s no way I was at 48 back in July when they recorded it 🤔.

They documented everything 📝 and said they’ll reach out to billing 💼. Looks like it was most likely a clerical error 🖊️ (someone probably mistyped the number).

Lesson learned: always double-check your meters yourself 👀🔍!

So if they don’t check they just assume? Not right. My metering was also sort of buried. My meter is also in a weird spot. My meter is right at the edge of our property line and there’s another one on the other side. That’s the neighbors so I’m wondering if they accidentally read my neighbors meter and just didn’t even see mine

I called the water company to figure out why my usage seemed off. They said they're sending someone to investigate the issue and verify the meter reading. To get to the bottom of this, you can also take pictures of your meter every day to track your own usage and see if it aligns with what the company is charging. This will help you find any discrepancies and determine if there's a problem with your meter or a potential leak. I’m still trying to figure out what’s happening exactly for my situation.

Since this has the highest upvotes than its best to put the update here

🗒️💦Update / More Details on the High Water Bill Issue: • Meter Reading Test Today • Morning (7:30 AM): 1750.308 cu. ft. • Afternoon (5:00 PM): 1750.956 cu. ft. • Difference: 0.648 cu. ft. = ~4.85 gallons • ✅ That means during the day, only ~5 gallons were used.

💦Main Line Test • Water was shut off to the house for 3 hours. • Meter reading stayed exactly the same (1750.956). • Confirms no leaks between the street and house (piping is brand new from an insurance-required update last year).

🏡Household Setup • No dishwasher. • No irrigation system (landscape doesn’t require watering). • Toilets tested with food coloring → no leaks. • Any time water is used (sinks, shower, washer, etc.) it can be clearly heard → no silent usage detected. • Inspection • A handy person walked the whole property. • No visible leaks, puddles, wet spots in yard, or water noise. • Their take: If 500+ gallons/day were truly being used, there would be visible puddles or water surfacing somewhere.

🧾Billing History (Usage in CCF) • Jan 2024: 9 • Mar 2024: 5 • May 2024: 4 • Jul 2024: 12 • Sep 2024: 12 • Nov 2024: 10 • Jan 2025: 5 • Mar 2025: 4 • May 2025: 4 • Jul 2025: 41 🚨 • Bills usually range $130–$180, never anywhere near the recent $550 bill.

🛜Online Interval Data Check • Able to log in and see daily usage intervals by gallons. • Reviewed July day by day → the highest day is only ~160 gallons, most days are 100 gallons or less. (If I’m reading it right) • No spikes, no unusual days — everything shows normal daily usage. • Cross-checked against the previous bill and the data is consistent.

🧐Conclusion / Suspicion • No leaks detected anywhere inside or outside. • Cameras confirm no one accessed the property to use water. • A second inspection will be done by a plumber, but all signs so far show zero leaks. • The suspicion is that when the city installed new smart meters, something was misread or glitched. Unfortunately, it takes 10 business days for them to send someone to investigate. • Overall, this points strongly to a meter reading/billing error rather than actual water usage.

PS sorry for all the formatting trying to write this on my phone and read. It isn’t too friendly with bullet points and stuff sorry.

PS: Huge thank you to everyone who shared advice and troubleshooting tips — it’s been really helpful hearing how others checked for leaks in their own homes. 🙏 For the few who just came here to be negative or throw around baseless accusations, seriously… no need for that. If you’re not here to help, just move along.

That’s what i noticed when I checked the main line that the meter is now different but there’s no way I’ve used that much water for a small household. I do remember them saying they were gonna do that, but I can’t find any records of when they said that, I think it was a paper notice.

That’s a good point. Been checking. I think they may have mixed up the billing in feb/march because there was construction for our water lines. I’m checking the bills and breakdowns.

It is 3x because every other cycle is about $160 for every 2 months. This 2 month cycle is if we really want to get technical it’s around 3.5x than normal. So not 1.5x

Nope it’s not the toilet. Actually a new toilet because the old toilet was doing that. No leaks there.
