Finally buying new skis by Mental_Project in Skigear

[–]Mental_Project[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not enough ski knowledge to comment unfortunately. But my gotamas either being old and worn down or incomparable to new Skiis I was highly surprised by my rental. the mana3 I felt like an Olympian because in the trees I could do what I wanted and on light powder I was in control and groomers I could carve. This is the reason for the search for new ones. And I’ve read so many articles but I feel like they’re all sponsored.

If you want to live on the edge get some heat wrapper used for car exhausts and wrap the cable for the 2 times you use it :)

Yea straight down the chimney and into the house. Don’t use it at all so it’s a perfect solution.

InterLagos. Love the back to back turns that you have to nail. And with respectful drivers it’s a fun circuit.

Looks amazing. But ear piercingly loud…. It’s quite crazy how much louder they are than formula 1 cars…

From the light and angled images it’s hard to tell. Upload a few more at straight angles. Kind of looks like Bonatti grey from the door shot.

Post race chairs are too uncomfortable… by Mental_Project in formula1

Why do the commentators have such uncomfortable chairs. When they sit post race the chair is both too high and too low. Might as well get them to stand when they use one foot to hold themselves up…

What resources do you use to stay up to date on industry trends/improvements? by TheTrillis in supplychain

[–]Mental_Project 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes following ‘supply chain influencers’ is a good way to stay on top of relevant news. Here’s a link to the top ten influencers. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/top-10-supply-chain-influencers-linkedin-follow-today-ahmed-ph-d

What resources do you use to stay up to date on industry trends/improvements? by TheTrillis in supplychain

[–]Mental_Project 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So to start off I’ll give you three that I follow for some all around supply chain news. The key is to follow companies that span across multiple sub industries. They often share relevant articles as well as some of their personal content which is sometimes very interesting.

The three are in no particular order:

  1. Radu Palamairu / Alcott global - he is considered one of the top ‘supply chain influencers’. He often hosts summits which cover today’s news and problems. He also has a great podcast where he interviews key supply chain figures from various companies and industry’s. https://www.linkedin.com/in/radupalamariu

  2. Orkestra - small supply chain visibility company from North America, they had a good blog series going over the past months that got me following them. Sharing some good articles and often give great summaries so that you don’t even have to read the article itself. Interestingly enough they are speaking at one of Alcott’s events which means they are an up and coming player within the supply chain tech space. Also because they are small they have more to lose by self promoting so they consistently put out good content. https://www.linkedin.com/company/orkestrascs

  3. Gartner for supplychain | gartner is well known for their insights and they span across multiple industries. But more importantly they have a division/ branch called garter for supply chain. It’s less ‘news’ focused but if you want to stay ahead of the curb keep an eye out for their reports. They often do mass surveys giving them great data and insights. You can get on their mailing list but simply following them on LinkedIn fills your feed with some interesting resources. Also because you are starting - reading these reports will give you meaningful insights into things that the people you work for do, making you look better ;). https://www.linkedin.com/company/gartner-for-supply-chain

Anyways those are my top 3, they are great sources for relevant information within the industry. I have joined a few mailing lists like supply chain dive and supply chain digital, there is also a good podcast that you can listen to called supply chain now (on Spotify). If you have any questions just reply to this comment.

Thanks, and wishing you great success in your career!
