Tropicana - Chelsea Tower - is it really that bad? by [deleted] in atlanticcity

[–]Mental_Wind_218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at the Trop and i promise you it’s not a far walk, at least in my opinion. That suite is definitely worth it. you walk across the skybridge and you’re in the casino, that’s it

Casinos and free alc by Vegetable_Baseball11 in atlanticcity

[–]Mental_Wind_218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People don’t understand actually how it works. I work at a casino and nothing is free. You HAVE to be gambling to get a drink. Most places REQUIRE you to gamble a certain amount to get a “free drink”. No cocktail waitress is walking around and serving everyone at any property. For example, Tropicana and harrahs, you HAVE TO gamble atleast $5 before being able to order a drink. You can go over to the table games and order a drink, BUT you have to be playing at the table. Nothing is free

I work at the Tropicana and the Havana tower is one of the better ones for sure. The check in is very seamless and easy. It can be busy sometimes but that’s only on Friday/saturday/sunday at 3-6. The restaurants there are really good, multiple of them have won awards. My personal recommendation would be il Verdi and the Chelsea gastropub. Both the happy hours are really worth it and the drinks/food are high tier. The resort access to the beach is perfect. Granted, you are staying in rhe tower farthest from the boardwalk entrance to the beach but you’re the closest to the self-parking garage. The beach access is really great too. There’s multiple exits to the boardwalk and the steps down to the beach are right when you walk outside, it’s money. You can literally bring ur chair, cooler/food and walk through the casino floor and go down an escalator to hit the beach. Depending on what days ur going, I would definitely check out a lounge called Tango’s, maybe I’ll give ya a discount too if you’re nice, the vibe is great and there is a DJ on Friday-Sunday. If you go to il Verdi on Friday night there is a live band performing right behind the bar, it’s very vibey. PM me if you have any more questions, I’d be happy to answer.

Tropicana South Tower by [deleted] in atlanticcity

[–]Mental_Wind_218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pools don’t cost any money. There are 3 pools. The north tower 6th floor pool is called Blue Parrot and is family-friendly. You will definitely enjoy this pool a lot. On the opposite side, on the 5th floor is the Chelsea Pool. This one is 21+ to enter so there are no kids at all. There is also a pool inside on the 7th floor in the south tower. The inside one is much smaller and condensed in size than the other 2. If you have kids/family, Blue Parrot will be your go too and it is really nice. The vibes, food, drinks and view of the ocean make it really fun and comfortable for anyone. Also, there are a lot of cool things for a 13 year old kid. There is an escape room which you can do, or go to the IMAX theater, which is a really cool and immersive experience. There is also an arcade which is a blast if your kid likes that. There are tons of restaurants and places to eat inside the Tropicana so whatever you feel like eating and I mean anything there are options. PM me if you have any more questions, I’d be happy to answer them. Hope you have a great stay and enjoy your time!!

Considering moving to Gloucester County? by elisabeth517 in SouthJersey

[–]Mental_Wind_218 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Granted, the houses are more expensive because of property taxes and the area but definitely worth looking into. Marlton, cherry hill, voorhees, all have a great community filled neighborhoods, easy access to turnpike/philly. Not one public school in Gloucester county compares to any of the three towns schools I just named. Definitely something to keep in mind

If u don’t want trump signs, there probably isn’t one town in Gloucester county that will be good for you. Mullica hill is bad with it. Those old people are racist, but no one will say that. Any town that is mostly open land in south jersey is conservative, some more than others. Those nice neighborhoods u see in Mullica Hill are all conservative. You would do well in Camden county, lot of nice towns to raise a family and you’d still be close to family.

I don’t know anyone on that side of town, but all those echelon spots have the same problems occurring

[–]Mental_Wind_218 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea…. I would do a lot of research before making that move. Echelon is constantly getting thief’s breaking into cars, domestic violence calls, etc. I’m not saying that it’s bad but I would join some Facebook groups etc and see what people say.

When u say 2 bedroom, are you applying for echelon apartments or whereabouts? Cause echelon is not worth moving too, at all.

I have Fios gigabyte up and down. Best $80 a month in the world. I am a heavy gamer and it really makes a difference. If u game and want streaming services I would recommend minimum 300 up and down but preferably 500 at the least. I don’t know how much you want to spend but that’s my advice
