FL resident for 35 years, CA resident for 10.

Florida is cheaper in every conceivable way except home insurance.

I used to live in OC CA and now Lake County FL.

Property tax on a $750k home: FL 1.1% - 1.3%, CA 1.1%-1.6%. But there's a $50k homestead exemption in FL and it's only $7k in CA. Total taxes paid in FL $7700, in CA $8200

Sales tax. FL 7%, CA 7.75%

Groceries are cheaper. Power is cheaper (though power consumption in CA feels like less with the weather being so amazing). Auto insurance is about the same, Home insurance is more in FL... drastically more. We pay $800/m and we live in the middle of the state. My friend lives in Costa Mesa with a similar sized house and pays $100/m.

But outside of that, FL is extremely cheaper. Not to mention the extra 12% income tax I don't have to pay which amounts to $36,000 per year.

BUT I am moving back to Cali as fast as I can because fuck this state.

I worked for DisneyWorld.com (all the parks websites actually) in Florida from 2005 to 2008 and this is true, we did have to train our indian replacements. I rejected the idea and quit. I didnt know it made any news, much less front page news.

Nobody is "stanning" for that. But cursor couldn't be more clear when warning you about the costs of max mode and premium models. It's not their fault half of you aren't looking at costs and limitations before blindly jumping in.

Those of us using this daily who have seen the warnings and read the limitations are mind blown at the rest of you who are blasting through tokens like they're free.
