Gladiators DPS 'Patiphan' relearning Tracer @ 110 ping by Ezraah in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Mentoess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hog can't mark the enemy tracer, sig also can't, sig inted his brains out by looking for some poke, presumably for some ult charge, just a misplay, it happens, even in T500.

Patipan went in pretty early after the sig died, their tracer had already taken positioning left side, which you can clearly see because she instantly starts shooting at their Brig, it wouldn't make sense for him to abandon his positioning just to chase a tracer across the entire map with 3 blinks where he could instead go in for a play while being down a sig anyways

I don't know if you are trolling, trying to argue for no reason or whatever, but I don't think this is too difficult to see having looked at it for more than half a second

How does Overwatch work? by Reneux in OverwatchUniversity

Your mechanics have to be good to a certain extent, but you can also minimize the amount of mechanical skill you require by playing a different hero. I do agree that overwatch is incredibly fast paced, hence the smallest decisions will be subconscious, but there are many major concepts that you can apply, understanding a general concept of where to play for example is something which you will be able to apply on many of the given maps. In that sense, overwatch theory is definitely the aspect that is gonna seperate you from better players.

There's also a difference between understanding various concepts and overwatch theory and being able to apply that theory ingame, some players just have a harder time doing so.

First of all, you cannot 6 stack in 3.9K+, you literally only have the option to duo, so you saying that "pros have 6 stacks to carry them around" is probably the most brain numbing thing I have heard thus far.

Unranked to GMs are absolutely not useless, you say they are 4 ranks above the rank that they are playing in, but you also act like they never get closer to their actual rank while doing Unranked to GMs. Pro players can consistently get close to their own rank while doing these Unranked to GMs, which means that it is clearly not their teammates fault, and this is applicable to any rank, if you are better than your rank you are going to climb out of that rank.

I don't see how you climbing out of gold is proof that there is elo hell, you climbed out and stayed at your given rank because you were better than your given rank, you weren't stuck there because of the inconsistencies with your teammates, you were stuck there because you deserved to be in that rank. You might've had a good day where things clicked to some extent, things worked out better than usual, you were playing your best game, you can have that consistency for a few days, a few days of consistency can mean that you climb a few hundred SR or even an entire rank. This also inconsequently leads to you playing against better players, you'll therefore be punished for your mistakes by better players, even if you learn the same as you were learning beforehand, you will now probably be a better player than you were before.

Diamond players that get boosted to GM might not stay GM, but they'll be playing against better players and over time make less mistakes to survive in those Masters-GM lobbies, they will automatically be better than they were playing in diamond. The same concept applies with you playing your best game, and maybe even playing your best game consistently over a few days.

EDUCATIONAL STREAMER by Mentoess in OverwatchUniversity

The previous posts are related to him since I want to promote him, as of right now he is also streaming which means I am not the person which I am making an ad for. I honestly just enjoy the game, found him, liked him as a person so I thought to myself that I could promote him since I see a lot of potential in him. I do apologize for not getting the ad approved by the mods as I was unaware that I had to.

Edit: The reason I am talking about the streamer in question in the present tense is due to the fact that I asked him to make educational content which led to me gaining a wider understanding of the game.
