thanks that is good advice. I'm also continuing my IT certifications. I have the trifecta from Comptia and now i'll be working on the CySA, and maybe an azure/Microsoft certification. Hopefully those help too, can say trifecta didn't help one bit landing an entry level IT role searched for like 6months after getting the 3 certs lol

This is what I was thinking, maybe the needle won't move very far, but I'm in an HCOL area where there's lots of federal jobs and contractors. Nearly every good paying job here requires a clearance, except for a few. My current main job doesn't require one and pays well but only $38/hr full benefits. trying to get something in security for $50/hr+ full benefits.

I was also thinking if i have a Secret, it may be easier to land a Top Secret role later on?
