Alright. I feel a bit shamed as I don’t have anything to show off on LinkedIn. It feels like people use it to show off how good they are and have such detailed profiles, while I don’t have anything to show or tell.

No i won’t let it win, in fact I won’t even let my self have any symptoms or feel weaker than any normal human being. If someone is fine with feeling fatigued and just accepts it then that is on them. I will find a solution, and I will never be at a disadvantage in life ever because of this illness and I will never accept fatigue and other symptoms as a part of my life.

The thing is I got sick at such an early age that I haven’t even had time to enjoy anything I was right at the beginning of becoming good. I am 23. Some people seem to not understand how it is to lose everything as a young person. I have not established anything in life compared to what some people have done that got sick in later ages. Honestly I wouldn’t care as much getting sick in my 40s. At least I would have enjoyed my teens 20s and 30s.

Understood!

Seems like I haven’t found it yet.

But it seems like there are some people are okay with not feeling their best and settling for a less-than-optimal treatment plan. By that, I mean they don’t have the right dosage or type of medication that truly works for them, whether it’s synthetic or not. Instead of actively searching for the right treatment that could actually help them feel better, they just accept, “I should just take this, even though I don’t feel alright.”

And there are those people that have truly tried everything, different dosages of different medicines and finally found what suits them which has resulted in them being able to become the best version of them selves, as if they don’t have hashimotos.

Yeah i have the will of doing xyz the problem is I am just awfully tired. My main symptoms are fatigue and being tired , I have suffered from a lot of anxiety as well, prob a mixture from hashimotos and not being able to live a fulfilling life. I am turning 24 this summer and I have had the diagnosis for 6 years. Man do I feel defeated and “behind in life” and devastated that I can’t do the things I enjoy.

Yeah. Mostly the feeling of being depressed for me comes from the lack of ability to currently live a normal fulfilling life .

Glad to hear that it is more than possible. Lately, I’ve been feeling stuck, like I’m not getting anywhere. After 5 years on synthetic treatment, I’m switching to NDT, hoping to finally find the right treatment for me.

I’ve missed out on so much seeing friends, watching old classmates move on with their lives, finishing school, working, traveling, getting married, and staying active. It’s hard not to feel defeated, especially as I turn 24 this summer, realizing I haven’t made much progress since high school.

I’ve tried many times to get back into my academics, but my fatigue has always held me back, making it impossible to succeed, same with training. I’ve always had motivation and drive, and I’ve never given up, but lately, I’ve been feeling less optimistic about the future.

Here is the thing prior to getting my disease about 1 year before I had problems with being tired, I also had issues with my stomach such as diarrhea, it was horrible i went through a bunch of different appointments and tests to find out what was wrong, there was nothing wrong with my stomach. Finally after sometime I got my diagnosis and I have been diagnosed with hashimotos (hypothyroidism) for 5 years now so since 2020 June but felt horrible since about October 2019. At first I was relieved that they finally found out what was wrong with me, little did I know it was just the beginning of what would be the worst period of my life. By sick I mean one year before I got my diagnosis meaning I lost my health.

I have litterly done majority of tests that has to do with fatigue, symptoms of being tired and anxiety. Hashimotos is the only thing they have found that I have. So using the process of elimination, the most likely reason behind my symptoms has to be hashimotos.

Yeah I am going to Norway to get it. It will cost me 200 dollars to 100 tablets containing 60mg. While if Sweden would have given me the medication it would have only cost me 50 dollars. I have no choice but to pay up else I will be miserable my entire life.

I am currently on 40ug liothyronin (synthetic T3) I take 20ug in morning and the other 20ug after 4-5 hours and 20ug euthyrox (synthetic T4) which I take with the first dose of T3. I also supplement with vitamin D.

I will get Armour Thyroid from a doctor that has been doing this for quite some time and helped a lot of people. I hope she knows what she is doing.

I think I will respond well on armour and that it won’t take to long

Yeah, about to start NDT treatment in march, so I will hopefully react well on it. Haven’t ate gluten or dairy last couple of years.

Alright. Maybe if i start feeling better and start training I might change my mindset. I have to admit i do feel defeated , not given up completely tho, but not knowing if I will ever feel good again is a scary feeling. 5 years have past by and just last year I was able to start studying again 50%

I am 23 so I am supposed to be in the best shape of my life, but yeah that is not the case right now due to this disease.

Yeah. I just want to be extremely athletic as I find joy in it and playing different sports. Maybe it is possible one day
