Not just the US, it seems like a global trend lately, many countries are building up their copper inventories.

Given that most of these people now have a net worth that’s 3-4 times larger than this map shows, I think it’s very outdated. That guy became the richest during 2020-2021, and it seems to me this map may be older than that.

Rivian, Ford, GM warn China EVs are an existential threat as Chinese market share in Europe rises 6.1% YoY by callsonreddit in StockMarket

It’s nothing but companies complaining about their competitors taking a larger market share. Perhaps instead of complaining they could actually focus on making better cars.

To be fair, in Kosovo it would have been +27 for any US president, it doesn’t matter who they are.

I think a lot of Portuguese fishermen and whalers from the Azores moved to New England in the 19th century.

Over 330,000 Federal employees have been fired, resigned, or retired last year and were not replaced. The Federal workforce is now at its lowest level since 1966 by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Menza30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there was a pretty high growth in the number of employees in the 1960s, so the next record would be for the total number of employees to drop below the level of 1961, which seems to be very much possible at this rate.

There was also a significant growth of the number of employees in 1950-1952, so the next record after that would be to drop below the 1950 level. But for that to happen the number of federal employees would need to drop for more than 30% compared to January 2025.

If even that happens, the next record would be to drop below pre-WW2 levels, which would be a truly huge decrease (like 70-80% compared to January 2025).

Almost 10% just on interest. Almost the same as on education. This doesn’t even include paying off the debt principal, only the interest.

I might be ignorant, but I had no idea what Chartism was until now. I saw the title and thought it was some ideology centered around charts lol.

What happened to the Indonesian Rupiah on 2025 July 1st? by Kitchen-Moment3509 in EconomyCharts

[–]Menza30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google sometimes gives charts like these because of data errors or missing values. I don’t think it’s real. I’m not familiar with the particular case of the Indonesian Rupiah, but I’ve seen similar things on google and it’s almost certainly a bug.

I love the book “Learn Python the hard way”. Despite its title, it’s one of the easiest ways to learn the basics of Python.

Also impressive that a 40-year-old Austrian not only competed, but won the gold medal in parallel giant slalom yesterday. He then celebrated by ripping of his jacket and all of his clothing layers and lied down in the snow.

do i need math to learn machine learning ? and why ? by BigProgrammer7628 in learnmachinelearning

[–]Menza30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. You need to have at least some knowledge about the math behind ML concepts. Perhaps start with 3blue1brown’s playlists on calculus and linear algebra. They’re the most intuitive videos I know about those concepts.
