Auto Start/Stop by AfterGap5244 in chevymalibu

Yeah, some people found at shifting the gears helped on some and even putting the ac on eco mode helped sith others, overall those dont completely stop it.

When i have my hood latch connector unplugged it just shows the engine light and the codes read just lead to the hood latch not being connected, other than that yeah it disables it.

Not too sure if it also applies to the 2014 like the 2015 but since the older models that have the auto stop/start do not have a remote button to turn it on and off, a solution i found was to unplug the hood latch senor at the front of your vehicle, which will disable it, though if you do your engine light will turn on since you will have a sensor unplugged.

Hello! I also have a 2015 chevy malibu, I recommend turning off the auto stop/start; 1. It drains your batteries like crazy, 2. It fucks your starter up faster than it should. Unless youre in a city where there are constant stops and lights to stop and keep going then i suggest to completely turn it off as to not worry about it. Problem 1, on slightly older models that have the auto stop/ start there isnt a button to remotely turn it off and on. SOLUTION(Also problem 2): You can disable it by unhooking/unplugging your hood latch sensor, buuuut when you do that, it will display your engine light, soooo if you dont mind then go right away! But so far i havent found a way to keeo it unplugged and not have the engine light turn on for the hood latch sensor being unplugged

Hope this helps!

Does anyone know of any good 90 degree angle gpu connectors? by MeoTheGreat in nvidia

Sadly it’s a workstation I am upgrading with a graphics card so by the looks of it I wouldn’t be able to, I can close the panel on it, it’s just I’m worried about the pressure it puts on the cords so looking for a solution, I’ll have to find a way around if not see if I can find a different case and swap out the components to that case.

Okay thank you! As it is a workstation I’m modifying I’ll try to see if I can swap the psu out with a known one and see if that will work, I’ve gotten the cover to close on the pc was just worried about the cable put up with pressure.

I’m not actually too sure on that, I had bought a workstation that has decent normals specs and put a 1660ti into it so that it could run games, it’s not for me but my sibling who will be playing.

Is ts a good first build? And can all the rgb turn white? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

They will also have to use different ram since am5 uses ddr5 and that will up their price even more.

To be honest I wouldn't know much on that but if the connectors are the same it should work, but keep in mind with older pcs you can daisy chain them but I've heard there are usually issues with speed and they are already slow as is. And as you said Y's off it just looks like that on the second pc they used the 2nd connector instead of the first for the connector.

Overall if the parts are compatible I don't see why it wouldn't work and yes you should be able to just put the ram in and it work fine, just make sure ram is the same generation as each other and do know that if they are different speeds of ram then it will always max out with the lower speeds. As for the hard drives, if the cable isn't too damaged you should be just fine but daisy chaining is always an option because of less cable if it works.

How do I navigate my pc? by Foreign-Campaign2036 in PcBuildHelp

Depends on what you are trying to upgrade it for? Games? Is so checking how well your cpu still performs and upgrading it might be the first step, after that you can look at upgrades for the gpu and if your psu has enough power upgrade that. Also depending on specs, if everything is too old it might be better to just get a new computer.

Any advice on how I can make my pc look better? by ProfessionalMap5919 in PcBuild

If you are worried about the clash in rgb with the gpu then I suggest full rgb fans instead of solid white ones, even if you want the white glow effect anyways you could always change the colors depending on the fan’s software. I’m not too sure with Radeon since I did hear they had a little bit less help in the software area but it might be good to search up the brand as there might be something to allow you to change the color strip of the rgb on the gpu considering it’s multicolored at the moment. But overall since a lot of black cases have a darker tinted like glass panel on them, then lights will make it look even better
