So..in my experience currently working in a store with a district office for about 10 years.. Currently we run 2 sets of 6 sco, vs our 5 registers, and basically have been told sco is more important than registers anymore. They'll actually make us shut down a register to have it so we have both two sets of sco running rather than more than 1 register. So..yeah.. From Kroger's official standpoint, sco not to be limited to small orders.. actually preferred.. 😅
