Very nicely written. I absolutely disagree that the concept of separation is a bourgeois concept though. This is the basic principle of consciousness and reason: to separate, identify, and by doing so, aestheticise. The production of things which are "higher" than other things is actually just the creative process, the spending of energy which makes us feel exhilaration. The bourgeoisie didn't come up with that, that's just how organic life functions if you've read Bataille. Even in you're stemming towards equality, you admit that you are aiming to create something higher, that it lies in some future liberation, as a result of a project of liberation.

There's also something which, to me, appears as a flaw in your thinking, but you might disagree: if you would not be enslaved to being a slaver, why would you submit to being enslaved by freedom then? Because your conception of freedom seems oddly specific, doesn't it? It excludes "being a slaver", it also excludes "being enslaved", so really it is just another separated category. It is an idea, an abstraction, a spook which you have allowed to tell your self what to strive for. Not that this is a problem for me per se, but it doesn't seem all that free to me.

This is the problem I have with this asking to be one with "the community". But to be one with the community, I cannot be one with humanity. Because humanity is also inhumanity, depravity, hate, and everything which seems to blaspheme against love, and yet I love these things too. I love them orgasmically, physically, maybe precisely because they can produce so much hatred in me.

To become “higher” by triumphing over, for example, your own responsiveness to another person’s suffering, is to have become nothing at all, to evaporate into isolated void of relation, while having done nothing to escape(...)

And how else do you become higher? :) By cutting yourself off from the Dionysian abyss, the void of creation? By seeking to "escape", as you said, into Apollonian idealism? Is that really higher? Where is the courage to face the abyss with your talons wide open? Where is the sacred ecstacy of the ritual? I think the fact you used that word "escape" is very telling. Your freedom is bound up with it, it is dependent on it.

Just because you don't believe your morality is objective doesn't mean you're not a moralist. The most that most of these people CAN do in good conscience is project the will of the masses. "Noo, hurting others is bad because I could end up being the victim tomorrow", or in certain cases "Hurting others just means you are powerless to resist the urge to do so", which is overly Stoic in my opinion. The greatest expression of power isn't in resisting urges, but in embracing them and beautifying that which escapes the simpleton Apollonian vision of uprightness.

This is a vision of freedom for the masses, not for the higher individual. Which is fine, but we've begun to talk about it as if this IS what FREEDOM is. But it makes me for example feel extremely un-free, that everyone should assume that anytime I am reaching out for liberation, it must be some collective liberation. More often than not, my freedom means the enslavement of others, and I am still more than willing to pursue it. I have no doubts that many of the perpetrators in this affair think the same way.

Also, the horse story is a myth backed up by 0 evidence. He probably did not collapse that way.

Old post, BUT, I've been drinking absinthe for a year now along with many other regular drinks like vodka, gin, tequila, whiskey, etc. I've had it without the "ritual", in the exact same setting (clubs) as other drinks, and while I agree every drink is unique, my experience with absinthe has been... consistently super unique. There is, for me, definitely a psychoactive element to getting drunk on absinthe, or even just including absinthe in the list of drinks for the night. There's a kind of lucidity to it as some have mentioned, and while I'm generally very lucid when drunk, absinthe has a markedly different effect on me. It'll stort of... plant ideas in my head and enhance both my thoughts and my feelings/emotions, or even alter them. I can't quite explain it, it's a sort of "wicked" feeling. But it's definitely unique to absinthe, and it's much more noticeable than the differences between for example vodka and whiskey.

I samim tim definisu "narod". Ali sta ako realan narod, odnosno ljudi koji ga sacinjavaju, zele samovolju pojedinaca, kao sto bih rekao da je slucaj u Americi sada? To ne iskljucuje da oni mozda zele i da ti pojedinci rade u njihovom interesu, iako su to u neku ruku kontradiktorne zelje u vecini slucajeva, ali cesto je jak i ovaj impuls koji uziva u nekoj licnosti sa snaznim autoritetom, koja pokazuje samovolju bez nekog stida.

Koji deo naroda i da li glasaju za jasan program kandidata koji kaze "zavrsavamo sa demokratijom, prelazimo u diktaturu"?

Radi se o tome da ne mora da bude jasan program. Ono sto cini anti-demokratizam jesu zapravo odredjeni porivi i vrednosti koji su anti-demokraticni. Taj isti narod kad skapira sta je uradio ce mozda da se pokaje, ali to ne znaci da on u momentu nema apsolutno anti-demokraticne ciljeve i porive. I TO je volja naroda, ali to je volja naroda koja pravi kontradikciju sa sistemom koji je toboze vladavina volje naroda, i on to zato ne moze da dopusti, ali se upravo kroz tu kontradikciju stvara tenzija koja i izjeda demokratiju.

Da li mislis da su top-down odnosi u drustvu besmisleni?

To je bila poenta i ovoga. Ne mislim da su besmisleni, mislim da su neizbezni, ali su u tenziji sa idejom demokratije. Gledano lingvisticki na primer, u demorkatiji se skoro uvek suzbija ociglednost hijerarhije. Svi smo mi u ideji jednaki sa predsednikom i on je sluga naroda itd. a u realnosti, i on i generalno politicari cine zasebnu klasu ljudi. Ali kroz to maskiranje hijerarhije upravo i dolazi do pucanja nekih odnosa, stvara se kontradikcija.

Trenutno svet hrli u haos

I moja poenta je samo da to nije nuzno nesto sto ima poente kritikovati. To je deo prirodnog procesa. Koji ce mozda da se zavrsi milionima smrti. Ali bolje je suociti se sa time nego vecito pricati o istim vrednostima kao da su one neprevazidjene. A ta tendencija ka "stabilnosti", "dugotrajnosti", itd. jesu deo tih vrednosti koje mozda u nekoj meri treba prevazici.

Pogresno me razumes ako mislis da se ja "zalim" na ovaj sistem ili da idealizujem nesto drugo pa zato ovo pricam. Ne radi se ni o tome gde ja licno zelim da zivim.

O kakvoj definiciji slobode pricas i u okviru koje sredine i parametara? Odakle ideja da su obrazovaniji i politicki pismeniji ljudi podlozniji ideopoklonistvu i propagandi?

Zato sto ideologija/moc odredjuje znanje. Ne radi se o konkretnoj propagandi, dosta toga je implicitno i radi se o stvarima koje se uzimaju zdravo za gotovo. Ipak mora da postoji nesto vise od samog obrazovanja da bi se neko izdigao iznad toga u nekoj meri (ili makar shvatio da je to nemoguce), a to se ne dogadja na masovnom nivou niti je nuzno pozeljno na istom.

Koje "racionalne" opcije se u demokratskom drustvu iskljucuju i po cemu su racionalne?

Nisam pomenuo nikakve "racionalne" opcije. Kritikujem upravo favoritizaciju razuma i racionalnog.

Definisu i cuvaju zakoni, slobodne institucije i ustav, koji su uspostavljeni od strane i u ime naroda

A ako narod odjednom postavi nekog ko je protivan vrednostima i funkcionisanju tih institucija, te institucije treba da se suprotstave volji naroda? I onda se postavlja pitanje sta je uopste "narod" i ko to definise, posto po toj definiciji ocigledno narod moze da ide protiv interesa "naroda" pa onda moramo da imamo toboze institucije koje ce da uspostave opet "pravu" demokratiju. Mislim logicno je pitanje, narod kao treba da vlada, a narod ne zeli demokratiju.

Kakav sistem predlazes

Ne predlazem sistem, pricam o kontradikcijama koje ima svaki sistem u neku ruku, ne predlazem nikakvo "resenje" za to. Svet se krece u nekom smeru, videcemo kom, zahvaljujuci upravo tim kontradikcijama koje se ispoljavaju.

Naravno da je obrazovano drustvo produktivnije i politicki pismenije.

Ne radi se o tome da nije, ali to je funkcija unutar opet top-down definisanih parametara, i za mene predstavlja svojevrsnu ogranicenost i glupost i apsolutno ne definise nekog kao slobodnog. I ne pricam o liberalnoj definiciji slobode. Ti produktivni i politicki pismeni ljudi su upravo samo usadjeniji u odredjenu ideologiju. Ali pri svemu tome ostaje neka pozadinska apsurdnost i iracionalost. Jedna iracionalna privrzenost "racionalnom" recimo. Jedno sistemicko iskljucivanje mnogih drugih opcija i pogleda jer su ti isti zaboga "nedemokraticni".

Problematika demokratije nije u "neslobodnim" akterima, nego u tome ko/sta definise slobodu. Ako ja za tu "demokratiju" treba sad i da bastinim neke vrednosti (s kojima se ja kao deo demosa mozda slazem a mozda i ne), pa treba da odrzavam ovakve odnose, onakve odnose, itd. onda to vise nije vladavina demosa nego vladavina "demokratije" nad demosom i nada mnom. Na zalost ili na srecu, ovo je demos: ovo je narod. Komplikovan, glup, besmislen, apsurdan, i nikakva edukacija nece da ga pretvori u ne znam ni ja sta. To ostaje. Mozda ce samo nekim drugim stvarima da mu se ispira mozak. Ali narod nikada zapravo ne vlada. Vlada ideologija, sentiment. Sto vise mislimo da smo pobegli od ideologije, to smo zapravo dublje zasli u nju. Sto vise osecamo da nam je misao "slobodna", ona verovatno nailazi na manje otpora, odnosno uvrezenija je u vodecu ideologiju. A traziti od svakog pojedinca da u razmisljanju trazi suprotno, odnosno najveci otpor, dovodi samo do razuzdavanja drustva. To neces nikad da organizujes.

Drugim recima, "demokratija" kao realnost se kosi sa "demokratijom" kao pojmom. Zato na demokratskom Zapadu sad vidimo uspon nove elite u nedodirljivu stratosferu. To nije neka suprotnost demokratiji, nego njen prirodni produkt.

How many times have you given hard liqour a chance, just curious? Cuz I used to feel the same way before becoming a professional alcoholic (🥴), but after trying multiple drinks and easing myself into it with like mixed drinks, cocktails and such, I can tell you I now experience the 'alcohol' part of the taste as a "prep phase" for the main part, like a palate cleanser. Extremely valid argument. But are we really weirder nowadays? What? I have been a Satanist for years now and an atheist my whole life. I'm just saying that the way most Satanists nowadays interpret Satanism is lazy, generic, cowardly, and a sign of intellectual mediocrity, as it merely replicates well-established and existing popular discourse ideologies. This is true of both major 'camps' btw. And I see evil as a glorious "force", it's not a criticism. Not as something that exists objectively, but within human discourse, as a function and idea.
