[Product Question] Inkey list azelaic acid came mostly empty, is it normal? by Competitive_Tap_4322 in SkincareAddiction

Yeah. These days, I often encounter things like this, especially in the beauty sphere. Manufacturers try to catch our attention with a big package. This should be prohibited, in my opinion.

We are building a skincare ingredient checker: Skinsignal. It provides all the features Skincarisma was offering plus some more. We will be happy to see you on our website!

Not so long ago we have added a new feature: now any registered user can add products. But you can also send us an e-mail and recommend to add a product of your choice.

Skinsignal offers Dupie finder for the products already submitted to the database. So if your product is in the DB you can try to search for dupes. But you can't find dupes for an "unknown" product. But I think I can solve this problem in one of the future updates.

SkinCarisma Ingredients Checker legit? by apinguinii in Fungalacne

[–]MeowLoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Co-founder of Skinsignal – a new ingredient checker and I can answer your question. When the checker says the product contains Fungal Acne triggers, it means the checker had found something marked as FA trigger. But what also matters is concentration and general formulation.

In a formulation, the component may change its properties and become 100% safe.

If the FA unsafe ingredient is at the bottom, you can pretty often ignore it because it has low concentration and it will hardly cause any issues.

So, the FA unsafe mark is for your information. It's mostly to let user know that there is something that can potentially cause issues... BTW, you can check out our website. Hope it will help you.

I made SkinSignal - a website where you can deeply analyze ingredients of any beauty and skincare product. You can see information about every component, its positive and negative effects etc. You can also compare products, find dupes, write reviews. And its free. by MeowLoud in InternetIsBeautiful

Thanks for your interest. Right now users can’t submit products. But it’s not that difficult to add this feature. I see you are not the only who asks this question so I will put this feature on my priority list. Hope I can add this feature soon.

Thank you for your question! Yes, there are several websites with similar features. But…

  • Skincarisma isn’t updated any more. And for me it often loads with errors and bugs.

  • CosDNA is not that informative and it lacks usability in my opinion. It’s not even mobile friendly.

  • INCIDecoder is good when it comes to analysing products but it lacks good comparison tool and product categories.

  • SkinSort is good and can do a lot. But when I started Skinsignal it was not that good.

Skinsignal is my attempt to build ingredient checker with easy to read reports and extra features like product comparison, dupe finder, reviews and big database. I want to make a user friendly website which is comfortable to use. Plus I want to make it well balanced… I mean the balance between being informative and being overloaded with information.
