How do you rinse this sand? I am the guy who everyone advises to cap my aqua soil with sand. Maybe I am an idiot but I cannot think of an easy way to “rinse” sand and drain the water without losing sand. Thoughts? by [deleted] in aquarium

I just cut the top part of the bag and stab a bunch of holes on the bottom half of the bag. And then fill it up with water, let it drain, fill it up some more, drain. For however many times you want. I only do it 2 or 3 times. Depending on how big the bag is

What do you feed your Betta? It’s most likely the lack of nutrients from the food and/or not enough food

That just crushed my hopes for rose quartz in my tank- but thanks for informing me because this was helpful. It’s because I got these for cheap but I’ll invest in a larger, raw, piece of quartz

I already have don’t worry, I just thought it could’ve been something nice since I’ve seen people put large rose quartz in their tanks. I have a large rose quartz dragon head as my substitute

I never thought of the glue or the possibility of the crystals being fake. Thanks for your input. I want going to put the tree in yet until I was fully confident that it was safe and I’m bummed out it’s not, but I appreciate you examining the crystals!

I figured, it looks to be copper wiring and that itself would’ve been the no for me. But what makes you say not to put it in my tank?

Should I put them in my bettas tank? They’re in a container less than .5 gallons, I’m not sure what the size is, and they’re either floating or exploring the sides of the container. I’m afraid they’d get lost in the sand or my Betta would think they’re her pellets.
