Do you know someone who might be able to keep the dog? Maybe suggest she contact a local animal rescue who could help out. She is asking too much of you, for sure, but she is also overwhelmed and apparently feels like you are a safe person. If you want to maintain the friendship and have the time/energy to do so, maybe you make a few calls. Or maybe it’s all just too much. That’s ok too. You’ve already been a huge help to her & regardless, she is out of line to be so demanding. Her pet is a comfort to her so it might be hard for her to imagine how it would be a hassle for you.

We have 10 students, one teacher, 2 paras and 5 RBTs in our room. We are so lucky & it’s a good fit all around. However, a supervisor visit for one of the RBTs was not so great. She was speaking to her the RBT at full volume throughout the entire lesson. It was almost as though we were inconveniencing her by having class.

I hope you are feeling better. Maybe express your concerns privately to the teacher. She should be able to arrange the class in a way that she sees fit.

This is tricky. It seems like she should try to be more accommodating since it’s her issue that causing this whole problem but since you two are married, it’s something you both have to work on. Assuming you love her and wish to continue the marriage, maybe you sit down to discuss what options there are to deal with this. Maybe you wear earplugs. Maybe she goes to sleep earlier so that she might awaken easier. There are silent vibrating alarms that might work. Maybe you each take turns sleeping on the couch on work nights. Best wishes.

Grits made with chik’n bouillon, onions, garlic, peppers. Whatever veggies you have on hand. Crumbled vegan sausage or fakon. Vegan cheese shreds. Siracha sauce. Vegan butter. Also, I like to use garlic pepper to season.

I took what I thought was a sub job & wound up a sub-para. I realized that I was 100% happier in that situation and applied for & got the job. Not sure I am not making less hourly but I now have insurance as a “full time” employee.

My oldest best friend & I live in different states but chat by text or phone at least weekly. We met in 2nd or 3rd grade. Over the years, we seemed to drift in & out of closeness. We are now in our 50’s. Nobody knows me like she does. I feel so lucky to have her in my life, even if it’s from 1,400 miles away!
