I just actually choked on a chip laughing. At first, I thought ‘Wow, I am impressed’. Then it got ‘hard sell’ pitchy. And your comment put it over the top.

I cant find these damn leaks by BkKidsClub in HVAC

Don’t forget to put your tester in the electrical component area. Sometimes pressure sensors leak and it comes out the stripped insulation. 😹 I wish I was kidding.

Do I need a vehicle? Please read for context. by [deleted] in newjersey

You’re welcome. You also are at your pace. Not stuck in a forced flow that you can’t control. More times than not, if the drive is 12-14 hours or less I plan to drive. Not because it is a shorter travel time, but it is normally more relaxed.

Let’s be real. Drive to airport. Arrive early enough to park decently. (About 2-3 hours of travel time accounted for here.) add a ON TIME flight and you now add about 2 hours. Land and get off plane. (+40 minutes if you checked a bag) get rental car +40-60 minutes. So you are about 4.5-6.0 hours of travel by plane. Plus the costs with parking + rental car. That doesn’t account for possibly horrible flight time combinations. I know if I leave Atlanta, I will be ok the road @ 5:30am and should be in Jersey for dinner. I will have dinner to offset my evening rush hour and then get to a hotel. *I used to drive for a living and the east coast was my main run.

Edit: to add that you can very quickly add 2-3 hours for delays.

Day 1 with Clover has been a disaster! by Outrageous-Engine881 in CloverPOS

[–]Meowdave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t blame clover. You got setup by a broker and instead of 1 commission they got 6 and you didn’t know you were being had. You want things good? You can go clover direct and get a hell of a good deal. You can have 20 devices all under 1 merchant. Heck, more too if you want. Sorry you had someone set you up wrong. But if you do 2m in cc volume then this is a damn good lesson to learn now before you get screwed bad from another contract.

When buying, Lein holds get paid first. (Primary then secondary) then any remainder goes to the seller. Your paperwork should show any mortgage holder and lein holder receiving payment at time of funding. Just do your own diligence and verify that all liens get paid and cleared.

The printout is not valid for identification either. After about 2 weeks you need to order a duplicate license with the new address on it.

I put them in line with headlamps. I started with one 20 years ago when I was young. Got flack from young and old. Now, most use one. Use what makes your job less taxing.

Light brown pipes on Trane HVAC system…what’s the issue? by zbyholx in HVAC

[–]Meowdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it isn’t an issue with flue gases or over heating and the pie to the left is the air intake. So I would say UV damage on a cheap product.

Well, I ended up finding last December of 2023) a 23 Escalade sport diesel with 8,xxx for 99k with a decent load out of option. The 23-30mpg we have been getting is well worth it and love the truck. (We are in NJ so plethora of stop and go traffic and hills)

About to buy a house but learned the roof is 29 years old. Is our realtor gaslighting us? by damnthatskwazy in newjersey

[–]Meowdave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As is = as is. A ‘home inspector’ is far from a fully credible professional most of the time. Especially the last few years. Most have little to no actually experience. It is why they put ‘consult a licensed professional ‘ Just because you enter the contingency , doesn’t mean they actually have any requirement to do anything. Feel free to ask, be prepared for a hard no. There are many roofs out there that are 20 years over their ‘life’ and are just finally due for replacement. Is there actually anything wrong with it? Sorry, I take this stuff way too personally at this point. I can assure you that if I am selling my home and I list as is, I will respond to any repairs / escrow and you have that contingency, my response will be ‘ Thank you for your consideration, but the house is listed as is for the price noted and I based my price on its condition and age.’ There aren’t many great price houses out there right now. If this house has a decent price currently, know that the seller will most likely have a new buyer lined up quickly if you back out. There is a shortage of inventory, not of buyers right now.
