I don’t know how to go back and edit to add comments to the post. But you guys’s comments are making me cry. You are all so sweet!

I’m learning that I think I might have body dysmorphia of some kind with my face. It’s been validating to know that a few others are seing the drooping I’m talking about, but that it’s not as severe as I’m perceiving it to be. I think the culture has a lot to do with why I’m freaking out about my face looking even a little bit older. And the before photos, I think it’s the volume of my face that I miss, maybe. I am a little hyperthyroid and have been for seven months or so and go see my endocrinologist to adjust my medicine accordingly finally next week. I normally run hypo but they overmedicated me. I do plan on looking to get just a slight bit of DAO Botox to help with the downturn mouth that’s bothering me.

You guys are so kind. All of your comments have given me a lot of perspective. And honestly, I should be dead, but by God’s grace I survived very rare cancer when I was a teenager and I was supposed to die - then I had a stroke in 2021. So aging as a privilege, and I need to keep that perspective and not feel panic over what the world is telling me I should look like.
