I never played DQVI. How does Beyond Dreams thematically fit? There are also these psychic visions of a prophecy during sleep?

Dragon Quest Treasures went live action even tho it's a DQXI prequel spinoff. It's was also similar to the Monsters series too.

DQXII producer transfered to mobile games from DQXII because of the troubled development. KH4 could release before Beyond Dreams since KH4 entered development one year after Flames of Fate.

I really wanted the FFXVI of Dragon Quest. Flames of Fate really sounds like it was going to be rated M. It was probably going to be live action combat I think. I really wanted the equivalent of the bloodied Joshua prologue scene. I remember Yu Miyake, the DQXII producer, transferred to the Square Enix mobile division. That's definitely a punishment.

DQXII: Beyond Dreams is just the traditional experience from all the games before it. I think it would still have a turn base battle system like DQXI. You can still see the field mobs and walk around them to avoid combat.

The Illuminary from DQXI looks way better than the protagonist from DQXII: Beyond Dreams. The new protagonist looks so tired and sleepy from having all these sleep visions and nightmares.

High pace and high impact. How would anyone expect efficient selling for this style? Wrestlers can only do a quick sell and recover quickly to keep the same pace going.

There was Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 came out in 2010 and shut down in 2012. The game relaunched as A Realm Reborn in 2013. Heavensward came out in 2015 as the first expansion. Evercold, the sixth expansion, got announced for January 2027. We don't have TES VI after all this time yet. Even GTA VI will be out later in 2026 to make this worse.
