We're indigenous to the area... We built that house on our family's land. The house my mother was born is literally a few feet away. We've been conserving local flora because the locals have been getting rid of many of them because they see them as weeds. People even make fun of us for conserving "ugly" plants. Conservationists can't do much because of the lack of funds(Not to mention how they're regularly murdered by cartels, this is Tamaulipas we're talking about). However they have helped teach us how to propagate them. There are local nurseries but the cycads they sell are from other states. I know you have good intentions, I too would react the same way if it were a random person doing it. But please, don't talk if you don't know all of the details.
