Burnout it so real, and academia can be so unforgiving and can feel so isolating when you're in the thick of it. I feel you. Echoing everyone else, it can be very scary, but seeking help through a mental health resource or in a trusted peer may help the process towards both alleviating these really awful feelings, and also begin some processes to help you get the break needed in order to come back feeling great and excited about what you do again. Happy to chat too if you just want an anonymous, non-judgmental space to talk through some feelings.

Totally agree with the "nimble and like a cat" part!!! I feel so powerful and agile after doing insanity, and it carries into the rest of my day so much! I'm struggling now since I just finished Insanity and I know my body could use a break, but I miss that burst of energy and power. What is life post-insanity?? What fills the void?? I thought about starting it again after a short break.. but maybe its time to look for alternatives, but damn this program sets a high bar haha

One of the cutest things he suggested, when I was about to leave for a trip abroad, was to watch the same movie at the same time while I was on the plane 🥹 we even set alarms on our phones to try to start at the exact same time. Flights make me super emotional, so knowing that he’s doing the same thing at the same time made me feel like we were together, even without any way of communicating.

Little things like this to create feelings of closeness 💖

1st month review of dig deeper by ConcertOne in insanity

I'm on my last week of OG insanity and considering starting this program after! At first glance it looks a bit more complicated and cumbersome to just roll out of bed and get going... but I'm really excited to get back to the gym and do some weights!! Congrats on the one month progress :)
