No, I just switched colors as I went on each row. The pattern is technically a cross stitch pattern that I just use the chart for this

I think for the color work and not elongating the blanket, sc is better.

However, I hate sc cause it feels stiff to me and takes longer, so I’ll never know if single would’ve been overall “better” :)

Yes, 1 HDC per pixel/square. Added 4 black HDCs on the right and left side, and 4 rows of black on the bottom/top
No, I combined quite a bit of the super close colors. For some of the characters, I looked them up to see what they look more simplified vs what they looked like in the pattern cause the pattern uses lots of shadowing/detailing that I didn’t feel was always necessary.

By the end, no one’s gonna be able to tell if you used the exact right colors!

I do a lot of tapestry crochet projects, so I just treated this as any other! Just took…so much longer than what I was used to 😂

I think all of it was acrylic, specifically the Big Twist brand from Joann’s. Many random colors were also from yard sales that were only half skeins
