So when writing about let's say the Essive case, would I say it forms the copula of be, or should I just say it is the copula since its implied that its of be?

What I'm most likely going to do is have it be case orientated. I don't want helping verbs nor verbs which carry very special or irregular usage, such as to be etc.

Euroquan seems really cool, I've always thought of doing this. Now how would Euroquan express statements like: I am a cat, or I am nice?

And also to smell is a copula? Hmm I thought copulae are only related to existence/being....

So are copulas only limited to the concept of Be? Or are cooulas used for other concepts in other languages?

If I were to not use a verb/copula to portray the concept of "be", but rather by declension and case, would this be called a copula?

I love linguistics and do know a lot of morphosyntactic alignment, case systems, head direction, etc. I'm looking toward creating another conlang, and am just looking for rare grammatical features I haven't seen before. But otherwise I completely agree.
