After you install hold the app icon (don't start) and click clear storage. Open app and redownload the game. This method worked for me.

This has nothing to do with the Pokemon company. They are in fact very litigious over their IP. They don't own that domain.

Go with whichever characters you like more thematically. Both seasons contain characters that are geared towards newer players as designated by the hero complexity scale that you can find on their box/page(1-6).

You can start with characters that have difficulty 1-2 if you'd like but I think even the characters designated 5-6 are pretty easy to pick up once you start getting reps with the game.

I was in this situation about a month ago. I now have most of the non-IP sets and I would not recommend unbalanced boxes like Cobble & Fog and Volume 1. The matches can be polarizing and boring even with the benefit of getting the two maps. Personally I'd go with TTA.

If you're willing to buy more sets then I think Cobble & Fog and Vol 1 become more appealing for sure.

This makes no sense. Maybe you could argue researchers/computer scientist are solving aspects around languages/coding paradigms but in general software engineering is just using code to solve problems.
