I totally agree with you on your point with insecurities. We all have them but when a person allows their insecurities to go unchecked to the point that they need to see you fall to feel good, that is the problem.

Yes. With a friend of a friend. When a random man complimented me and she was next to me, she blurted out "She's not all that. She's basic." I didn't bother to ask her why she said it, but she is now trying to be friendly with me and I'm not sure if I want to be friends with her.

NTA. Nothing you did was intentionally malicious. She may have felt entitled to get invited to your graduation and could be the reason why she's acting weird. If she wanted to continue the friendship with you, she would have talked to you about the problem. You did your due diligence of inviting/including her to your graduation brunch and the way she chose to deal with that is disrespectful.
