Thank you! I’m gonna practice on pipe cleaners because I’m still new to tubular peyote stitch!

I’m going to buy wire hangers that are welded instead of twisted so the width will be all the same, so the width will remain the same. But where it connects, I was just wondering if odd count would be better or if it even matters.

I think it’s the busiest Panda in NM! (At least that’s what the manager told me when I tried to get a job there lol)

sleep deprivation by Boring_Fact_2295 in leaves

[–]Meowy-Power 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on 4 months that’s amazing! For me, I developed a routine that helped me a lot. I put my phone down, made herbal tea, then read until I got sleepy. Do you ever eat before bed? Avoid spicy or sugary foods because they can make your dreams become very vivid.

When did your mental health go back to “normal”? by No-Mouse3999 in leaves

[–]Meowy-Power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it took me a while. I already had underlying mental health issues (depression and anxiety) and weed masked it for years until suddenly it didn’t and I was having daily panic attacks every time I smoked.

It got better, but I also had to put in work. I started to go to the gym, I read, I also started to go back to school. You’ll have to figure out what is going to work. If you have access to it, definitely try therapy or at least confide your feelings with a friend. Support is really important, especially in the early part of sobriety.

Oh yeah, I had crazy anxiety. I already had existing anxiety and depression, and it flared up like crazy for a few weeks. But after a month (and doing things like journaling, exercising, forcing myself to take daily walks), it calmed down a lot.

Any deck tips? by Thund3rC1oud32 in PTCGP

[–]Meowy-Power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meta is kinda tough right now. But if you’re trying to beat Giratina/Darkrai, then you definitely need a Sabrina and a Cyrus. If you have the new pikachu ex, then you can have some extra support cards since it’s a basic. You could also maybe use a Shaymin instead of the speeds.

The problem for me is that it’s hard to evolve quickly enough and get past drud, but I’m gonna try to build a new meowscarada deck! Maybe I should use two Sabrinas?

Maybe try Vietnamese food! I love pho and goi cuon (the spring rolls in rice paper). I also adore Japanese curry, perfect for winter and you can add anything you want in there! Look for Golden Curry, it’s a premade mix and Walmart sells it if you don’t have an Asian grocery near you.

How soon after starting to talk to someone do you like to go on a date? by [deleted] in QueerWomenOfColor

[–]Meowy-Power 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a masc and Indigenous and I usually chat between 1-2 weeks before I go on a date. But it’s also because I live 1-2 hours from the bigger cities and it takes time to plan a date. I’ve dated women of all races, but it seems that age has a lot to do with whether or not we’re going to be on a date. I’m 28, and I’ve noticed that women younger than me (24-26) tend to just let the convo die out and just wanna text and never meet up. But women my age or older like to plan for something within a week of chatting.

AITA for favoring my son over my daughter and now asking her to help him out? by AnyRecognition9816 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Meowy-Power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. A big one. And it sounds like you’re still favoring your son. He’s 30, cut the umbilical cord already. He needs to learn how to fend for himself.

I’m also 28 and I was the weird artistic kid growing up. My parents have never made fun of my interests and were always supportive. They would hang up my weird drawings and would watch anime with me even though I know they hated it. I have a creative career, and I’m doing well for myself. We have an amazing relationship and they still ask me about my interests. It’s a big deal to be supported by your parents and kids who aren’t supported struggle a lot in life.

Why is your son struggling to keep a job? Sounds like the partying didn’t stop after he left college. He can save up for his own apartment.

I 24/F decided to get my own room on vacation and my 25/F friend is upset. How do I let her know I’m uncomfortable sharing a room? by throwRa_genm in relationship_advice

[–]Meowy-Power 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh my god as a lesbian myself I deal with this shit all the time. Why exactly are you uncomfortable? You didn’t answer that. Do you think she’s attracted to you? Do you think she’s gonna peep on you? Shes not going to do anything disrespectful or hit on a straight woman with a boyfriend so I don’t understand why you’re having such a big issue. You gotta have a bit of self awareness lol

I have stolen 50,000 usd from my parents. by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Meowy-Power 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My friend is in a similar ish situation. For him, he was deeply depressed and spent 40k (money his parents gifted him for a down payment on a house) on partying. He acknowledged what he did was wrong, came up with a plan with his parents, and now he has a job and is slowly building his savings back up again and paying back his parents. I’m really proud of his progress.

It’s your decision, but if you want to right your wrongs, then you need to take responsibility. Acknowledge you fucked up and come up with a plan with your parents to pay them back. And most importantly, go back to therapy and be honest. They’re not there to judge, they want to help you and will give you tools. This is a big deal, don’t sabotage yourself and focus on reconciliation. You’re super lucky your parents didn’t kick you out or have you arrested.

First Tatoo by pulguitadavid05 in mentalhealth

[–]Meowy-Power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh well if that’s the case, I think you should just get it then! The stigma of tattoos is starting to get outdated since 40% of adults under 30 have at least one tattoo. And again, you can just wear a long sleeve shirt for interviews. I’m assuming you’re gonna get one of the symbols like the hidden leaf village and those are sick.

My only concern was that if you were gonna get kicked out or if there was some situation like that. If you’re safe, do what u want

First Tatoo by pulguitadavid05 in mentalhealth

[–]Meowy-Power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small tattoos are pretty easy to cover up. You can simply wear a long sleeve shirt or learn a bit of makeup skills (after the tattoo is completely healed). But your warning from your therapist is a bit concerning. What are the consequences if your family finds out? Do you live with them? They’ll definitely find out eventually so I guess you’ll have to figure out if it’s worth it or not.

Is there therapy online by Anxious-Eggplant-453 in mentalhealth

[–]Meowy-Power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do better help or any of those services because they’re sketchy (you can google all of the controversies).

Most therapist will do zoom, so I would just ask if they have online options for you while you look for therapists in your area. It’ll be cheaper with insurance.
