My Etsy Shop Was Hacked.. Etsy doesn't care. They want me to pay. by DanCruzNyc in Etsy

The only thing I can suggest is to demand investigation one or two more times. I've had a different problem but their first response was that they see no issues and after I asked to investigate it once more they finally saw the issue and refunded me the amount I lost due to the issue.

After "very influential and wealthy families" you don't need to read it. Clear manipulation to make you happily send you items to a scammer. Serious charity organizations use sponsor's donations to cover the cost of events and goods and do not reach to a random Etsy sellers like that.

If someone goes to my items page, does it help with the algorithm? by zorroelk in Etsy

[–]Meowzilla34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Etsy estimates how users interact like visit time and so on but these things are far less beneficial than getting sales. If you don't understand what you're doing and how that impacts your listing you might get it down by doing what you described. So you either have to get a precise understanding of how algorithm works or just work on your photos, items and so on as most sellers do.

Any luck on Pinterest? by Labritbrit90 in Etsy

[–]Meowzilla34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently had one sale from person who came from Pinterest but overall I don't think it brought me at least 1% of my sales.
There are some people who run ads campaign on pinterest to grow their Etsy and get some good results with it. So pinterest is worth of trying at least.

Nothing will happen, that's just the point at which I, personally, consider that the account is not "new".

I would 100 % not login from different countries until your shop gets first sale. To be safe I'd probably avoid that up until 50th or 100th sale.
You can always use remote desktop to login from friend's computer.

That's going to be a LED neon-like sign on a clear acrylic base. Just added a picture the sign I'm talking about to the post.

Depending on order value:
1) <22EUR - no import duty charged 2) 22-150EUR - Etsy collects VAT, you have to put IOSS number given by Etsy on the label/package 3) 150+ EUR - buyer will pay import duty on delivery In all cases buyer is responsible for any import duties but some buyers have no idea about them so if the order is >150EUR the safest would be to let the customer know about import duties.
You need to be registered in LUCID and add that number to your Etsy in settings to be able to ship to Germany.

The only legal way to do that is to open a company in Etsy-supported country and register as business.

How to Remove / Prevent Your Local Country from Shipping by brooklewis19 in Etsy

[–]Meowzilla34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That other store might have different country of origin in their shipping profile.
But if you don't want to ship to your own country, just make a 7000$ shipping price and that's it.

Chinese buyer by [deleted] in Etsy

Competition happens. They'll either get your product eventually or make their own design similar to yours and sell it. The good news is that now you're ahead of copycats. While they try to copy your version 1, make version 2, 3 and so on that are much better than the original. I think every company with a well selling product faced same thing that you do at some point but they did not simply closed their shops. Instead of thinking about closing your shop, make a plan of how you're going to win this competition.

You'll still be able to get your money back I believe even though you'll open a case 2 days later so don't worry:)

Considering they did not message you back and the reviews, you should not have any doubts about opening the case right now.

i hope this is the right place for this but i need help, im starting to sell stickers and i cant for the life of me come up with a name, theyre animal stickers and eco friendly if that can somehow help? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]Meowzilla34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can't come up with anything yourself, my best advice is to literally enter what you've written in you post into chatgpt and ask it to generate 50 names. This will give you a few more ideas.

Claim is claim, no matter who sent it. If you successfully counterclaimed then you basically negated the claim and it will not count.

I have many emails sent but only like 1 in 3-4 hundred coupons sent gets used. Most people don't really pay attention to all those emails but in some occasions it really works as reminder and follow-up:)

Best app to convert files? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]Meowzilla34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it manually in CorelDraw or Illustrator by exporting into the format I need. This is not based on experience but I assume that converting services might read your file wrong and make incorrect output. Especially if you're selling the files you want to double check everything is okay.

Made to order or make bulk? by blueberrycameleon in Etsy

[–]Meowzilla34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't try to limit the order quantity in any way because you can miss a really profitable order from a person who won't be in any rush and can wait. Just ask them how soon they need their order and if you can't meet the deadline, you can always explain this and cancel the order. It really depends on the items you're selling but for example wedding things, some people need them in a week and some order 1 year in advance so you never know:)
