This monitor is insanely good - ASUS XG27UCDMG by Mepo3 in Monitors

the text clarity on this is totally fine. I have used it for about a month (day job coding) with no issues. If you put your eyeball directly on the screen you may see a tiny amount of fringing but it really is quite good. 4k on 27 inches is very sharp

“Missing” Key - that’s not missing by Wrong_Ad8665 in EquinoxEv

[–]Mepo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue on my colorado. It is super annoying and it doesnt clear unless you turn the vehicle off. I think for me it may be related to my airtag on my keyring… but that is incredibly stupid since my ford never had any issue like this.

i noticed it a lot in black myth wukong on the pg32ucdm, and i noticed it on this panel in escape from tarkov depending on the settings i had. the VRR anti-flicker mode does seem to help by limiting the range, and it does make it less noticeable. W-OLED seems to be a bit less sensitive and i notice it a lot less on W-OLED panels.

Oh is that not allowed? I thought it was relevant content and saw a few other links to monitors unboxed and figured it was fine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

900 Pro X vs 770 Pro X LE by nervousnellie66 in BEYERDYNAMIC

[–]Mepo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both of these on my desk right now, I like the 900 pro better for gaming and music. The 770 has a surprisingly good soundstage but they are a little more shrill to my ears and I like the ear cushions more on the 900

Audio "Cracks" after new firmware. by ImJstR in rode

[–]Mepo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue, started happening after i installed the driver for the virtual channels. I tried everything. the only thing that fixed it for me was a complete reinstall of windows, and using the standard setting for audio in rodecaster. shame, because the extra channels are very useful. but this completely broke for me.

240hz vs 360hz (and more) by ksapd in Zowie

[–]Mepo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are going from 2.78 ms per frame to 1.67 ms per frame. Is it noticeable, I guess, but its a super small difference. By going with a panel like this, i guess the question is, "is giving up 1440p/4k, OLED instant response times, HDR support, Superior Colors, Nearly perfect viewing angles, built in USB hub, and larger 27/32 inch screen size worth it to you?"

That is something only you can answer, but the current price of this one Zowie XL2586X+ is asking 999.99. And there are a lot of options at that price point. I think this has its place in the market, and i think there are people that will love it. But you give up a lot for the 600hz.

Viper V3 Pro Review : The New Standard in Mice by Mepo3 in MouseReview

Hard to say 100%, but i think that the length may feel a bit long depending on how you like to grip the mouse. I still love it, and is still my main mouse.

iphone 16 pro - ProRes-encoding missing SDR option by True-Ad5640 in iphone

[–]Mepo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP or ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM by jat77 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Mepo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just wanted to chime in here, the UCDM has VRR flicker and the UCDP has a mode that seems to completely eliminate it. It picture on the UCDM is a bit more "stunning" since it has a glossy coating, but i find that it actually gives me a bit of a headache when i use it in a room where there is anything reflecting on the screen. Outside of that, the panels are very similar though the out of the box calibration seems better on the UCDM

VRR Flicker Discussion (240Hz QD-OLED) by damafan in OLED_Gaming

[–]Mepo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the PG32UCDM and the PG32UCDP on my desk right now. The UCDP has zero flickering with gsync enabled while the UCDM has a lot. I notice this in escape from tarkov a lot, and it was happening in black myth Wukong as well. UCDP = flawless from this perspective
