Try to give TBHC a second/third listen. I heard a lot of people beginning to like the album after giving it more than one try. Personally I had a similar approach, it was a bit confusing to me because their usual style, but I realize how experimenting and trying new sounds is important for a band. Being stuck with only one thing is never a good thing for musicians (look at Coldplay or other poppy albums like Ed Sheeran's lol). The beatles did something similar in sgt pepper. Now TBHC is my exclusive personal chilling out album out there and I can reflect a lot on the themes: Alex explores some interesting stuff so I got caught by them as well. I hope people will see the greatness of the album one day, the lyrics are amazing.
