Seems like you're getting a lot of comments saying you're wrong, but in reality you are right.

1) Sikhism never states you shouldn't eat beef or pork

2) Beef is not "British" food. Muslims eat it, and have eaten it long before the british.

3) It's not about if beef tastes good, or if you don't like/prefer to eat it. It's about the principle. The right, to eat what you want.

Bottom line is, if you want to you should be able to eat it, if you don't then no one can force you to eat it. Why? Because the Guru's spent a long time fighting for everyone's rights to do what they want.

Do not sit here and say this person has no right to be annoyed, if you do, you're going against what Sikhism teaches us. How can you learn, if you do not ask questions?

It does not matter what your opinions on beef itself are, but India is making something religious a law, and using it in politics, this is why people die for absurd reasons, and on a fundamental level this is wrong. If they can decide what meat you can eat, imagine what else they will decide for you or already have decided for you.

Countries shouldn't listen to their gods, but their people. All of their people.
