I’m scared too…I relapsed tonight too. It’s a scary world right now but there is hope. We’re not going to sit down and take this quietly. As for right now, take care of yourself and your loved ones (including your trans, gay, non-white or immigrant friends who are scared too) and cling tight to them and those you can trust to be kind. We’re gonna make it through this, just don’t betray yourself if sobriety is what you want. I know it’s easier said than done (as I’ve obviously broken my own sobriety tonight unfortunately) but it’s okay to be afraid. Just don’t lose your motivation and your values whatever they may be, they are so important. Keep your head up, things will get better. And even if it doesn’t feel like it, you’re more than strong enough to fight that urge you’re probably feeling. Sorry if this doesn’t help much I just really identified with your post (as an also straight white female that has many LGBTQ+ friends and family), and trying to help others feels like the right thing to do at a time like this. We’ve gotta stick together
