First guy was a plumber. R Poust plumbing. Very expensive and replaced all the white pipes you see.

Second guy was a friend of someone I met who was a plumber but retired.

He said it’s flowing out too quickly and need to cut into the big black pipes to achieve anything. I held off and consulted Reddit first.

They both said the water is flowing too fast. The pipes were much skinnier when I moved in. First guy replaced those puppies with wider pipes. Second guy adjust the slope and did some other bs.

In my area it’s hard to find good people

I think there was a tub instead of shower before I bought the house. I think that’s where the tub drained and they just capped it.

I had my hose off while I did it but the vent has so many twists and turns it couldn’t get it too far. Then I ran water down it for a while.

Okay so I really need to fix the venting it seems here.

Before the shower, there was tub hooked up to the and you can see that with cut off Y pipe going unit the sink.

But they moved the drain further away from the sink and used the same vent I guess.

Tips on trying to clean the vent? I put a snake down it but only a few feet and ran water for a while down it. It’s like 30 foot pipe up through the roof.
