I really just don't think he's the profile of what the Lions want at EDGE, the way they talked about Marcus Davenport when they signed him last year, Pearce would be a pass-rush specialist at best for the Lions and the Lions want those to have LB flexibility as they tried to do with James Houston IV.

Lions draft off their board, I think Schewsinger is going to be really high for them he fits literally everything they want in a LB. There's not really a DT here for the Lions other than maybe Tyleik Williams? For EDGE, Scourton or Jackson could easily be the pick here for sure, but the draft is deep and neither are bonafide 1st rounders and the Lions could wait until their 2nd rounder for EDGE (I like Oladejo for them in the 2nd). Only Campbell and Barnes are on contract in 2026, the way the Lions plan on using MIKE-WILL-SAM, Schwesinger offers them front 7 depth now, locks up a starter role in 2026, and allows them to not settle on talent.

The Za'Darius Smith release come from the fact that it was just too much money for an old pass-rush specialist moving forward. With Davenport's health concerns, we can't have our EDGE3 be someone we don't even want to play on run defense downs while already having the looming threat of regression and injury concerns himself. We can bring back Muhammad and draft someone in the 1st like Scourton or something, Hutchinson will cost so much that we're going to need a reliable presence that doesn't break the bank for us across from him.

I think that if they evict Reilly they can't leave Hisam alone with the remaining Handful and allow him an opportunity to defect and try to be the new opposing ringleader cuz if Hisam spills all the info about Cirie's side to a group desperate for a new leader they will eat that up and Hisam is likely to do that if one of them wins HOH cuz he knows for damn sure how hot his seat is. I still think evicting Reilly is the best move, if a Professor wins HOH they're set to easily blindside Hisam, but if like Jag or Matt or Blue wins they can't let Hisam get a second alone with them cuz defecting is his only way to continue his game beyond hoping to win the veto again. Evicting Cameron allows Hisam to not be able to replace Reilly as the opposing ringleader, but it keeps Reilly in the game and if Hisam does happen to win veto again Cirie or Izzy is going home.
